For example, Reigns is going to wrestle Rusev this Friday on Smackdown. This is the kind of match that should be saved for a pay per view.

How many offshoots of "Reigns sucks/Regins is being pushed too fast" do we really need? It's getting to "Cena is stale" levels of bad

As much as I don't mind Reigns getting pushed, I really think putting him up against Rusev is stupid. It can't end clean, as a loss to Rusev pretty much begins the Ryback-ing of Reigns (which I'm aware some people would like to see), and Rusev losing would make a PPV match with Swagger meaningless.

It doesn't feel organic, the moment it feels as though he's the 'company guy' that's when fans will turn on him. I think it's too much, too soon for him and I really hope the dial it down a notch after this PPV. They need to be subtle not overt on his push.

I agree. Roman Reigns should be getting a stop/start/stop/start push with 50/50 booking and goofy comedy segments. It's worked so well to build new stars in the past decade.
PS- It doesn't feel organic because we know it's not organic. But no real push is. Steve Austin is often given as an example but really when one of the top guys in the company wants to work with you and put you over pretty early and when the owner of the company clearly is a fan of yours (go back and listen to how much announcer Vince put over Austin even back during the Ringmaster months) your gonna get over. All of these pushes are the combination of the talent, the booking and the fans.

I don't hav a problem with the push being fast, but hearing the commenters give Roman so much praise gets annoying.

All of these pushes are the combination of the talent, the booking and the fans. He didn't get the belt until 2 years after his king of the ring speech. It also helps that Austin knew how to work, whether he was a brawler or just a straight up wrestler. Reigns is as green as grass, has a limited moveset. The superman punch was GREAT as something that came out of nowhere, but he does it every time now. He also does the 'get out of the ring, jumping leg kick to the face' spot. And this is someone that is rumored to face Lesnar? Ehh...my point is, be subtle with the push, let him start off in the IC tier, not necessarily trying to get the belt but put him in against Sheamus, Cesaro, etc, instead of thrusting him into the main event spotlight before he's ready. He's suppose to face Orton and HHH in the next few months no?

All 3 members of the Shield have been whipping ass on main eventers since day one in the company why should Roman suddenly fall back into a mid card that no one really cares about just to make his push seem "organic" to satiate the jaded internet crowd?
Live crowds love him, if he starts moving merch Vince/HHH won't care if he's the second coming of Brakkus in the ring(which he's not).

The company is often accused of not striking while the iron is hot, but with the Shield members, they're doing it right.

Kane's just going to show up to attack him, or Seth or Randy. I wouldn't give it too much thought.
That said, I hope him and Rusev get to have fun first. Their interaction in the battle royal got the fans quite fired up.

It feels way too manufactured, like a lot of WWE's problems. Last night was mostly fine but #RomanIsRAW was obnoxious. Roman himself is cool and the crowd is clearly into him, but they're trying too hard. Just let it happen organically. You can practically hear Vince screaming "LIKE THIS GUY DAMNIT"

I feel like they really are trying hard to push Roman but... I don't hate Roman, if he's the next guy, I don't mind it
He does however I feel, need a little more time. He still hasn't proven to me that he can put on a long match by himself. His moveset is great for like a 5 minute stint in the ring against someone, but a whole match? I don't think it will work. Work in a Spinebuster, some Suplexes, show that Power, just show more than your two trademarked moves. As for Promo skills... I think he's ok, he isn't perfect but he's far from the worst thing I've ever heard.
And Roman vs Rusev will end in a DQ, I guarantee it. Both will go toe to toe and something will happen, Roman will probably look like he will have the upper hand on Rusev and a Kane Run-In happens probably. It'd be stupid for either of these men to lose on the brink of a PPV.

If I honestly believed that match had anything close to a clean ending coming, I'd probably be bummed.
No way that doesn't just have five minutes of back-and-forth, then Roman hits a Superman Punch and Kane shows up to attack him. Rusev then puts him in the Accolade to regain any heat lost from eating a Superman Punch and looking weak. Also, we begin to wonder on the true meaning of Big Red Monster.

Don't worry, in 3 or 4 months he'll be a Paul Heyman guy jobbing to Kofi Kingston.

We still don't even know when the guy's coming back.

How many offshoots of "Reigns sucks/Regins is being pushed too fast" do we really need? It's getting to "Cena is stale" levels of bad Until people start believing it so that Reigns doesn't take the spot that they want Bryan to hold Bryan is more popular than Reigns. That may change, and I hope for Roman's sake it does, but it's still the case right now. So to imply like its some fringe fans being butt-hurt is silly. Reigns isn't even close to being as over as Bryan was with the majority. He has a log way to go. And the real test will be when Bryan's back, and WWE has to make a decision between both. How many offshoots of "Reigns sucks/Regins is being pushed too fast" do we really need? It's getting to "Cena is stale" levels of bad Cena is stale. There's no levels of bad to that comment. It's simply something that is patently obvious.
