Dude I want some of what you're taking. Anderson/Kennedy was and to this day is terrible. I never got the love for that dude back in the day. Honestly it was Paul Heyamn in ECW logic which got him to a point of huge support from fans: They covered up his weak spots and booked him to his strengths, making sure all stories he was involved in complimented his positives and made him look like a bigger deal month by month. Even before he was let go he was still booked to be an arrogant yet capable loudmouth who did what he wanted to get one over on people he wanted to beat, William Regal vs Kennedy would have been good if they both hadn't of buggered it up... If the WWE did that more for guys then there'd be another golden age of wrestling somewhere down the line. Compliment your wrestlers strengths and don't draw attention to their downsides.

Yeah, that's a big reason why he got exposed big time when he went to TNA. I think he is terrible but it seriously feels like they are going out of their way to remind the viewers how trash this dude is every week.

It's tough being a Kennedy fan, isn't it? I'm certain it's the reason Hardcore Holly glared at me with hatred at a PCW event at the end of last year, he could sense the steroid placing hatred of my Kennedy appreciation. I had a similar incident at a ppv. Taker did not approve of my Kennedy sign or the fact that I happened to say something derogatory about him as he was leaving the ring. My soul has not recovered yet from that stare.

Spot on, it's a pity as during his initial 6 months with the company he was amazing as a ruthless/cocky/arrogant heel who wanted to make Angle's life hell. It's one of the reasons I'm still a fan of him even in his dullest hours of faceness, I KNOW he's capable of a lot more and has proven it a few times over the years. To bring it back to the topic at hand, the WWE has pretty much played to the strengths of Ambrose continually, and he seems to have free reign with his promos, and he's always been better in the ring than Kennedy/Anderson so...in a way maybe that's where the similarity the OP mentionwed comes from, both are ruthless brawlers who do what they can to win against their targets, Ambrose just happens to be a psychopath on top of it.

If there's anyone that Ambrose reminds me of, its Brian Pillman.

Kennedy's so weird, in retrospect. I remember actually liking him on the mic and thinking he was perfect acceptable in the ring. I was bothered by people, both in the company and outside it, who justified depushing him because of injuries... It's ultimate petty McMahon bullshit to hold against someone getting hurt (in the body-wrecking industry YOU profit off!) rather than write around it.
....but then he went on the news and said douchebag things and got his immediate comeuppance in a way I've never seen outside fiction. It was amazing; it was like O. Henry was writing his life. And from then on, screw that guy.
So, no, I don't get you thinking Kennedy and Ambrose are similar. No one is similar to Kennedy; that whole story is totally unique.

Ambrose kind if reminds me of a guy who's so crazy that he'd be easy to defeat since he has no gameplan.

"SalineSolutions, I will snap your ass in half, you little shithead." Kennedy's great, his schtick just doesn't work as a face. When he can be the loud obnoxious super-heel (like we got to see in the Aces & 8s, one of the only good parts of that whole affair), I can watch him all day. He can be an alright heel, but he always ends up being too funny and turning face, thus getting awful until they mercifully turn him back heel, and the cycle continues.

This just makes me wonder why wrestling can't just make entertaining faces to begin with.

Anderson Anderson is far superior when it comes to no-selling Nodding Tito Ortiz.

Mr. Kennedy wasn't really all that unhinged... his whole gimmick was basically that he talked loud His whole gimmick was basically announcing himself during his entrance.

Hmm, let's see.
Ambrose - the best all round talent in the business right now and potentially the breakout star of arguably the best faction in 20 years.
Kennedy - said his name twice.
Yeah I'm not really getting this one.
