That sucks.
But this is also the reason that they can't wait around to push Reigns or whoever else. You can't hold a spot for a dude when you have no clue when he'll be back.

Dude needs all the time off he can get. I have to believe that a lot of this was brought on by his hectic schedule last year, sometimes twice a night or more.

As sad as this may be, this is almost a situation similar to Edge and maybe Bryan should take a while off and let himself heal before he has to quit

This is why I've been saying he is not the future, he has more mileage and damage on his body than anyone left in WWE. I hope he does what is best for him, if he can return WWE will still be there but if it is over, he went out on top.

He got further than anyone could have predicted, with a Wrestlemania build and main event that will be talked about for years to come. I'll be content if WWE gives him some non-wrestling role so he can stick around and get paid.

With Santino's recent retirement, Bryan's future doesn't look bright. Edge retired really early due to neck problems and like, after Bryan recovers, I think he may have a few good years left and then he'll probably end up calling it a career, if not sooner.

Other than the neck (which is just years of wear and tear), all of this is hold over from his days on the indies by his own admission. He destroyed his body, never took the time off and never got the problems fixed. All WWE is doing is fixing it.

I worry that Bryan's career may be over.
Pretty f***ing heartbreaking, I must say.

Yep, I know it's been reported they want Reigns vs Lesnar at Mania, but with Bryan's injury perhaps they scratch that and have Seth vs Dean vs Reigns for the WWE Title. And Lesnar gets a big time match against someone else, perhaps The Beast vs Bray. This way they've got all The Shield members even more established in case Bryan has to call it a career.

If the stubborn f***s over at WWE would've capitalized on him earlier they could've gotten a lot more out of him.
