I've become more convinced than ever the past couple of months that Vince and the old guard have to go. They are holding their own future back and dragging the company down. If this is true, giving up on a 21 year old who hasn't even scratched the surface of her own potential after 3 months, 3 months of giving her nothing BTW besides about 19 matches with Alicia Fox all which were booked like garbage and no promo time, is just idiotic. Making a 21 year old the top star in your division overnight is a horrendous idea. Even if she is a perfect performer with no weaknesses whatsoever, what is she going to do for 15 years? That's if people begin to accept her, which didn't happen. Most American fans had (and have) no idea who she is or why they should cheer for her. They should've done for her what they've done for Summer Rae, and to a lesser degree, Lana. Let people get to know Paige first, and then, if people want to see more, give her a more prominent role. Then you can make her champion if people like her. It also burns a year or two to prevent her from sputtering in the doldrums right out of the gate. They set her up to fail instead of succeed. It is stuff like this that does make me believe that people like Kevin Dunn are trying to sabotage what NXT talents they can. Also if all Vince was waiting for was for AJ to come back, why give Paige the title at all? Give it to Naomi is that's your plan. Don't trot out this poor girl and keep an eye on your watch waiting for a girl who has no challengers because she's cleaned out the division twice over and has maybe 1-2 years left anyway.

I tell myself that no company would be so petty or stupid, as to root against their own talent. But then I remember that this WWE.

I don't know about that. They're definitely giving Rusev, Bo Dallas, Lana and Summer a lot of attention. They're positively infatuated with the Wyatts and the Shield. Dunn may be an idiot, but he's not stupid enough to try to directly undermine Triple H. Once Vince is gone, that'll cost him his job almost immediately. He and Vince have got a short attention span. They're already casting Adam Rose overboard, but he's another one I expected would have failed. When Paige won the title I predicted she was going to sputter, not due to any hypothetical lack of merit, but the circumstances just didn't work. I didn't think Rusev and Lana would succeed, but they've gone balls to the wall to make their goofy characters work. That was not something I was expecting. I think Naomi would definitely have been a better choice. Interestingly, she seems more over with live fans than Paige or AJ. What is it? Do people recognize her athleticism and her improving ring skills? Is her sex appeal being grossly underrated by the interwebs? Or is it because she's a unique option, or a mixture of all three of those? I don't know. But I think she's a much better cornerstone of a division than a girl whose only crowd reaction is the result of the guy who's boning her.

Paige is a mistake after three months and barely giving her any opportunity
But gals like Rosa, The Bella Twins, they're alright, they've been solid competitors for the years they've been in the company
I want Sara Del Rey to make a trip to Corporate Headquarters and just kick McMahons face off...

Well that's the thing, Dunn can't make all the NXT talents look bad. I'm sure he's close enough to Vince to know which ones he's whatever on and does what he can to sabotage them. Look at people like Emma and Adam Rose and Paige and Xavier Woods. People like Rusev and Lana and the Wyatts and Shield Vince is high on so Dunn can't sabotage them. He knows once Triple H and Stephanie take over, he's out the door. They don't like him and he doesn't like them. So he can take what steps he can to make Triple H and NXT look bad so Vince sticks around longer or, and I doubt this will happen, Vince gives control of WWE to someone who likes Dunn and he can keep his job. I've talked to a few people and they do believe that is what Dunn is doing.

If this is true, then I wish HHH would sack up and tell the old man he is wrong. Paige has had hardly any promo time on live TV at all and she is only 21 f***ing years old!!! Things like this makes me wish Vince would retire and take bucky beaver with him.

I remember reading some newz that Naomi was supposed to beat AJ for the title the night after Mania, but botched the finished so they went with Paige instead. I honestly think she would have been a better option, instead of ruining Paige's first run and letting Naomi take the ball. It couldn't be any worse than Paige's run.

Paige has made me appreciate how talented AJ is by comparison, so that's something.
But Paige is SO young, she'll get better.

Rereading Jericho's second book, he talked about Vince calling him out on being green and several much more offensive terms, which he found out later was Vince's way of testing dedication and willingness to adapt, ect. Could be the same for Paige here.

Probably in her promo with AJ when the CM Punks chants got louder and she stopped her promo and AJ had to get things back in order.

I think he's just delaying it as long as he can. Heh. Not likely that's going to be for very long. Vince is displaying all the characteristics of Old King Syndrome. Not being seen. Financial crises. Instability in the realm. Aloofness towards his advisors. ...on the other hand he can be like Aurangzeb of the Mughals and run things until he's almost 90, whereupon a hilarious collapse will soon follow.
