Mentioned him in a WWE thread earlier today, been nostalgic ever since. I am really dating myself here and feel safe in saying a number on FAN won't even know what I am talking about, so here is some background: Super Dave Osborne is a sketch comedy character first portrayed by veteran comedian and TV actor Bob Einstein in the 80's. He is a courageous but never successful stuntman who always ended up maimed in some hilarious way when his planned stunts went ludicrously wrong. You wouldn't have thought the character would last as well as it did, given how repetitive the act was, but Einstein actually made a sort of franchise out of it; the character became a regular guest on late night talk shows, there was a short lived cartoon, he starred in a bunch of commercials, and even had some straight to video movies. For a sample of Super Dave's usual shtick here you go
Don't ask me why, but I almost wish WWE had brought Super Dave in to host an episode of RAW when they were doing the guest host phase. I could picture all kinds of interesting skits where he challenges various wrestlers to different spectacular fears only to end up getting slammed in brutal fashion.

Albert Einstein is his little brother. You might know him a little better as Albert Brooks. No lesser expert on funny than Mel Brooks declared on the Tonight Show that Albert was the funniest person in the US when he was still just a teenager.

But alas! He did appear on Raw in the early/mid 1990s when he had a show on the USA Network. I believe it was in 1994 and you can find it on the Network. Pretty funny stuff if you like Bob Einstein.

He played Bobby Caldwell, the father of Matt Damon's character, in the last Ocean's movie.

Since everyone is saying what other roles he played, he was also on Arrested Development. CM Punk referenced his Curb Your Enthusiasm character during his feud with John Laurinaitis.

Yeah I remember his show on show time back in the 80's(damn I am old). I always hoped he'd pull off the stunt just once. KD Lang got a ton of press off his show and he really helped her career when she was just starting out. A little rascist if you think about it. Fuji was such a horrible caricature of Asian men oh portrayed the worst racial stereotypes about Asians. But nobody cared then. Anyway, I liked the show and his shtick

Dating myself, I remember seeing him on the show Bizarre on HBO. I remember that ...was Showtime though, but yeah I used to watch that show. That little short guy that was in Stroker Ace, played Burt Reynolds character's friend that showed up at the end, was the host.

Super Dave Osborne was great in his two appearances on Norm Macdonald's podcast last year. Love the guy. [quote author=" ICBM" source="/post/10876640/thread" timestamp="1404961123" A little rascist if you think about it. Fuji was such a horrible caricature of Asian men oh portrayed the worst racial stereotypes about Asians. But nobody cared then. [/quote] Apparently, Fuji was just a regular guy and that's how he really was. Osbourne met him and liked his positivity and willingness to go along with anything, so he became a regular.
