Like a number of things TNA has turned out in the past, this is one that I actually rate as almost a great gimmick. When they first started out, it was actually pretty cool-the kind of darker, edgier character that you don't see much of in wrestling today. The fact that they were clearly playing off the popularity of Dexter kind of added to the appeal, a touch of the current. And, to his credit, I think he played it well at first, being a bit more intense and menacing. But it went downhill so incredibly fast. They started watering the character down with cartoony backstage skits like visiting his "childhood home," which also contradicted a previous skit where he was shown to have his own place. And they dragged the whole triangle with Christy Hemme and Anderson out way too long. Now the character already feels stale and outdated. So much potential, gone to waste.

All he needs is a cool segment to wash the stain away, I wish he would throw a fireball at someone, or carve anderson with a fork.

It's awful writing, being played out by a guy that isn't very good to begin with and can't make it work. It's for the best that he teams with Gunner and Anderson and gets the Triangle of Suck all confined to one segment.

I kinda liked it before they f***ed it up.
Then again, I wonder if I just like his theme enough to want to make it not suck.

The problem was Anderson was a bigger creepy bastard than Shaw by a long shot. Anderson should have lost the feud.

Then again, Samuel Shaw got committed not because he was stalking Christy or assaulting wrestlers and stagehands, but because he lost a "Committed" pro-wrestling match.

Well, doing a "loser gets committted" match was one of many bad ideas that happened during that feud. It should have come out that Shaw was protecting Christy from Anderson (the real creeper) or something. Why introduce a guy like Shaw just to job to a guy like Anderson?

Why not have someone OTHER than Anderson be Christy's defender?
