I thought this was supposed to be announced already? I think (I may be wrong) this is to be announced on Saturday afternoon/early evening in Japan, so that means it'll be a few more hours before anything's actually co firmed. EDIT: oh wait no, re-reading the opening post I AM wrong, sorry. Interesting...

If this of course is KENTA, I have to ask....what is the point? I hate to say it but Japanese wrestlers don't especially have a good track record in WWE. I know next to nothing about the guy but according to Wikipedia he's 5'8" and 181 lbs. So no size and probably no mic skills. This has all the earmarks of another HHH bust signing.

I was kind of surprised that they had a press conference for Mistico when he signed and he was a huge draw at the time, I'll be positively shocked if they have one for KENTA, much less sending the Hulkster over to hype it up. Probably has something to do with the Network would be my guess.

I'd like to think that if the perception of Hogan in America is just punch, kick, bear hug, body slam, leg drop, and everything else filled in with psychology instead of workrate and if Hogan in Japan is pulling off moves like enzuigiris and moves like that. Then I'd like to think that if Hogan isn't physically able to wrestle in America anymore, then in Japan he is just capable of punch, kick, bear hug, body slam, leg drop, and everything else filled in with psychology instead of workrate. So Hogan is gonna announce his farewell match for the next time WWE is in Japan and to apologize ahead of time for not being able to give the Hulkamaniacs in Japan that he won't give them a match with the high standard of work rate they're used to from The Hulkster.

If you watch the video posted, it's Hogan outright saying it's a wrestler and that it'll be the first one personally signed by him for WWE.

Have Kenta Kobashi come out of retirement, deliver a lot of chops to Hogan's right arm...only for Hogan to Hulk Up after some machine gun chops and deliver an AXE BOMBER. Crowd goes wild.

How about you actually watch the guys work instead of blindly guessing? Dude is a beast in ring, pretty much does what Daniel Bryan does but better.

I'll still be kind of surprised if they send Hulk over to "sign" Kenta. That's a real head scratcher for me. I mean the dude is alright, but I don't really see the need for such hullabaloo. Don't really care either way though.

Plus dude can speak a bit of English, has experience working in the US with American Wrestlers, and working with American wrestlers in Japan. Also why are we still talking about size in the WWE when you had a guy like Daniel Bryan winning the Main Event of WM30, Seth Rollins winning MITB, and guys like Ryback/Big E/Jack Swagger/Kane/Mark Henry/Titus O' Neil being nothing but jobbers. Size hasn't been relevant since like 2010. Hell maybe even longer.

Why do you think Punk & Bryan stole all his moves?? He's a legend in Japan and if he has that kind of influence being that far away, just wait till he gets to the WWE.

He was never even one of the biggest names in Japan at any point. I'd put Marufuji over him if we're talking about actual impact really and he's not that huge a star himself. Now if this was Tanahashi or something. Maybe.

No he wasn't booked to win every match like Tanahashi, but he really started getting that recognition later in his career in Japan.

I am a huge fan of everyone mentioned and a hardcore follower since Steamboat was helping in ROH but you have to understand that the American demographic needs character and YES got Bryan over not the spit and fire...KENTA legit makes me feel bad because there is no possible way with his charisma that a wide audience here would accept him...CIMA maybe even Razor Ramon Hard Gay sadly....Unless smarks continue to run the asylum

The Osaka show is about to start, so I guess he's getting revealed there. The guy who said he'd be revealed earlier was wrong, it appears.

I wonder if they're gonna let him use the gts just to f*** with punk, even though he created the move and deserves to use it, even though for the last couple of years the have all looked like shit, not by any fault of his own, but because of his knee surgery and only working with heavyweights. I also liked KENTA's heel work, his tenure with No Mercy was awesome, it was the first purorersu heel faction that I liked in some time, before the bullet club.
