I think that's one of the things he's going to talk about in the upcoming Arn Anderson: The Ultimate Collection DVD set. I would actually watch that dvd. Arn Anderaon was my favorite Horsemen, even more than Flair. No arguments here. My favorite was Windham.

I'm surprised there never been a Hans, Sven, and Olaf Anderson. There should always be an Anderson in the WWE, Arn needs to give his blessing to some dude in developmental as an Anderson. f*** it, Steen can be Olaf Anderson

Robert Fuller claimed to give him in the name while he was in Georgia due, obviously, to his resemblance to Ole. Who knows if that's who came up with it or not. I don't know that I'd call Rob an outright liar, as that seems unfair, but he's a storyteller, and any good storyteller will exaggerate and such for the sake of the story.

Is every member of the anderson family bald and husky? Ole, Arm, CW, Machinegun Karl come to mind, is Sid Vicious their natural predator?

The huskiness and resemblance is why several of the "family" members were chosen to be Anderson members (though I'm fairly sure CW and Karl never got approval - not that they technically needed it - from any of the "official" clan to be part of it (though Arn later gave CW his blessing). The hair thing is hindsight. Arn had hair in his heyday, so did Ole. Gene's always seemed to be receding but not bald and Lars was practically a hippy at times.

Lol I remember when Dave Marquez gave Karl the Anderson name, who then asked "I'm just a loser from Cincinatti, did you clear this with Arn or Ole?" Then somebody said "As soon as he sees you work he won't give a f***." If, I mean, WHEN they sign Karl to a WWE deal, I wish I could see his first meeting with Arn.

Ever. (no promises on Kevin Dunn though)

Have more hair on their face than their head 2. Wear a windbreaker 3. Own a pair of spectacles 4. Be average and non-larger-than-life in every way

So then, how did Ole Anderson get his name? It's not like he ever had a viking gimmick at any point. Or did he?

So then, how did Ole Anderson get his name? Same way Arn did, I imagine. When Lars (as Kash pointed out, also a Nordic name) left the tag team, Gene needed a new "brother" and Alan "Rock" Rigowski became Ole. I'm guessing someone did at least enough homework to ask someone who might know regarding other names from that area that would help convince a kayfabe audience this brand new "brother" was legit. Showing up as "Mikey Anderson" or "Tony Anderson" would have busted that subtle and subconscious illusion a bit.

Also the Anderson's were from Minnesota where there is a high Nordic/Scandinavian population which is probably where the names originated.

The funny part is that Ole thought it was a rib at first, when they gave the name to Arn, he wasn't happy "They said I look like Ole, which I don't know if its a good thing, Karl also told Cabana on his podcast to please call him Chad. It seems that being an Anderson is both a blessing and a curse.

I always wished the WWF held on to Arn after Tully got canned for failing a drug test.
I think Arn could've been a solid mid card heel in the early 90's and a damn good IC champ somewhere between 1989-1992.

It was really pretty amazing that he brought Arn and Tully over and made them the champions in the first place. That is a testament to just how good and over they were, because they really didn't fit the WWE mold.
