Even as a very immature 15/16 year old that thought Trish Stratus was the hottest woman in the World, that barking segment just made me feel dirty and wrong. It was SUPPOSED to make you feel dirty and wrong. You were supposed to hate Vince for making her do that. Granted, with the crowd the Attitude Era brought in not everybody got that point.

Katie Vick.
their exploitation of the deaths of Paul Bearer and Eddie Guerrero were pretty sickening, too.

Eugene. Almost everything else in this thread can be justified by just heels being heels, offending people by their words and actions is their job. But having a mentally disabled character getting the shit beaten out of him and treating the whole thing as comedy, that's unacceptable.

Actually thinking people would rather see Batista vs Randy Orton on the 30th Wrestlemania than DB main eventing.

[Something I disliked that wasn't offensive at all] Some of us are offended by racism, some of us by sexism, some of us by the exploitation of the recently deceased, and then there are those of us who are "offended" by wrestlers they don't like. To each his own. For me, it has to be the Shelton Benjamin's momma angle. I legit stopped watching over that shit.

Katie Vick was deplorable.
But as someone who has mental issues, I despised Eugene.

I didn't like it at ONS 2006 when Edge said that Paul Heyman was Jewish in a way that was meant to be an insult. I get that he was being a heel in an area with a large Jewish community, but it was a tad over the line.
And I agree with Coco about Eugene. The worst thing was his jacket being inside out/not buttoned right, like a mentally retarded is too stupid to be able to put on a jacket or something.

The most offensive thing to me was on a November 11th edition of Raw. Jim Ross expressed outrage about how disrespectful it was of William Regal to fly the flag of the United Kingdom on Veterans Day....completely ignoring the fact that November 11th is also Remembrance Day in the United Kingdom.

The most offensive thing the WWE has done? Change wrestling to something else it is now. Where is the blading, the violence, the bullying, the real storylines filled with cursing and emotions, the putting women in danger and having men wrestle to win their favor, etc? The old school carny aspect is what first made wrestling special and the WWE is taking that away. Wait, am I on YouTube? No, the grammar's too good... phew, it's fine, I'm not on YouTube... I think that the mocking of JR's Bell's Palsy may be the right answer here, because as other people have said at least other stuff was being used to put people over, even if it was grim and unjustified. But the mocking of JR - not just Vince's but also the Oklahoma character which originated in the WWF after all - leads to absolutely nothing. If it led to maybe JR punching Vince in the face and quitting then sure.

18 seconds at Wrestlemania 28 an insult to Sheamus and Daniel Bryan they were capable of stealing the show and to the fans who were hugely behind Daniel Bryan that they started the Yes movement even though it took them 2 years to get results.

"Offensive"....
On a lighter note, the mark in me says it's the Pipebomb. That's not to say it was a bad promo at all, Punk was brilliant there- but he "worked" me as a Cena mark, so that was the one that grinded my gears, so to speak.
As far as bad taste, I guess Eddiesploitation, but there's been far more legit heinous acts done by other promoters/feds.

It was SUPPOSED to make you feel dirty and wrong. You were supposed to hate Vince for making her do that. Granted, with the crowd the Attitude Era brought in not everybody got that point. Exactly, Vince was the devil incarnate who you couldn't wait to get his comeuppance when Trish finally snapped. And he did, gloriously, at WM17. It's only when the person doing these things is painted as in the right that it gets sickening. Any outright bullying from a babyface always makes me angrier then just about anything else in WWE, just cos of the example it's setting to kids. Particularly not-in-the-slightest-bit-out-of-shape women like Molly and Vickie getting every fat joke under the sun thrown at them by the 'good' guys (not that it would be excusable if they were actually overweight, of course). It's ten times worse than anything like Piggie James or the Bellas and Kharma where the bullies were clearly positioned as in the wrong. Thank God that Be A Star seems to have finally put a stop to that, at least in as overt a manner as it used to be. Exploitation of real-life tragedies like Eddie and Pillman is pretty disgusting too, but I always found stuff like Katie Vick too absurd and abstract to be offensive. Dumb as f***, sure, but not offensive.

Turning Hassan into a terrorist was bad, the Davari martyr segment was worse and I believe the American broadcast still showed it shortly after the 7/7 London bombings.

Your right! f*** the wrestlers health, bring back violence and blading and hell, cursing always makes for a better story. Bring back the Attitude Era! Boy, those were the days.

My father worked as a caretaker for mentally disabled people at the time and was extremely offended by this.
