www.cleanapple.com/steve/For those who don't know, Steve Guttenberg is an actor who was pretty popular in the 80's. He's probably mostly famous for playing Mahoney in the first 4 Police Academy movies. He's also known for Short Circuit, and Cacoon. He pretty much lost relavance at the start of the 90's, and became a punch line to many jokes. So anyway I was checking out some of my old bookmarks and I rediscovered this. This started around the same time Chuck Norris mania was high gear. The joke is that a lot of these "facts" are just mundane details that could be part of anyone's life. There are some that are unrealistic, but they are few and far between. Anyway, here are some examples. -Steve Guttenberg has two cats, both of which are named Sgt. Whiskers. He prefers the grey one because she lets him rub her belly. -When Steve Guttenberg gets a gift that he doesn't like, he doesn't return it or regift it because he thinks that would make him look like a bad person. -Steve Guttenberg couldn't believe his luck when he found a five dollar bill on the ground as a young child. -Steve Guttenberg is concerned with the rising price of fuel in America. To ease his anxiety, he sometimes rides his bike to work. -Steve Guttenberg once waited in line at the grocery store for 20 minutes. It was a minor inconvenience. Yeah, I know this is stupid, but for some reason imagining Steve Guttenberg in these situations is pretty funny. I dunno, just felt like sharing.

I find these funnier than the Chuck Noris facts actually. My sense of humor can run dry and thus the fact that someone would catalog ordinary things is funnier than cataloging fantastical things.

Steve was once asked how they shot the scene where Johnny 5 is almost beaten to death. He replied that he is sorry that he cannot give any information on that, as he was only in the first film.

-Was asked in good nature about his association with the Stonecutters. Steve chortled, but reminded them that it was a fictional organization.

Yeah that's the appeal of it for me as well. One of my favorites is... "Steve Guttenberg wishes the box for Lucky Charms was a bit more sophisticated." It's funny because most if these were written back around 2006 or so, and these days they have those Lucky Charms commercials with adults.

-Steve Guttenberg was once mistaken for Paul Reiser. Only once? Yes. If you were the 'one', congrats, it's your claim to fame!

- Steve Guttenberg once saw the original post here and noted the absence of THREE MEN AND A BABY. But he was fine with it. He's just glad someone's mentioned him.

Steve Guttenberg began getting ready for work one Monday morning as he usually does. When he turned on the television to check the weather, he realized it was Labor Day. Steve chuckled to himself and decided to make himself a nice breakfast instead.
Steve Guttenberg once saw a sign that said 'Slow - Children Playing' on his way home from work. He reflected upon this for the rest of his drive.
While watching The Simpsons, Steve Guttenberg never laughs when Ralph is picked on, because he feels sorry for the poor kid.

Steve Guttenberg once thought about majoring in philosophy, but decided it would be a foolish investment.
The highest Steve Guttenberg has counted is 234, although he could probably reach 1000 if he tried.
Steve Guttenberg once rushed the quarterback after only 2 Mississippi during a touch football game. This mistake was quickly pointed out to an embarassed Guttenberg.

I love this one, it's more on the absurd side, but hilarious.
-Steve Guttenberg believes in accepting the consequences of his actions. For this reason, he hasn't used the backspace button on his keyboard since 1992.
