Bo would've been better. He would be a fresh champion and they want to continue his streak so he wouldn't be jobbed out like previous holders. Give him a Honky Tonk run and it would be amazing. Instead we got Miz... Yeah. Problem is that WWE's idea of "protecting" Bo would've probably involved him continuing to beat low carders and intentionally keeping him away from anyone "important" (he's not beating someone like Jericho or RVD or even Dolph at his buried-est) The title would've looked irrelevant while all the upper midcarders/former world champs' shenanigans are treated with greater focus.

Hollywood Rock worked because we all knew he was a genuine movie star who makes a mint in that business. The Hollywood Miz character doesn't work, because we know he's not a Hollywood star. So his character just strikes me as being sad and pitiful rather than infuriatingly arrogant, and that's not good for a heel. Heels are delusional all the time, though. Disingenious perhaps, rather than delusional. With Miz, it just doesn't work. He comes across as desperate.

Much of that depends on whether you enjoy the performer in general or not. For example, I heartily enjoy delusional Hollywood Miz, but find Bo Dallas a crushing bore, who I either tune out or skip over completely.

Better than Sheamus or Ziggler.

I've always liked Miz but I'm really digging his Hollywood stuff. I can't stand Bo Dallas at all. I'm not saying people are wrong for liking Bo or for disliking Miz. No one is going to like or dislike all the same wrestlers.

It does not matter what the point is.
The crowd could no care about him winning, they wanted Dolph to win,and the moment they got cheated from that, they stopped caring, they felt robbed, not angry or any kind of heat.
Same thin when del rio cashed MITB,the two situations are pretty similar.

I like Miz as IC champ, so many people hate him, at least people might care about whoever wants to beat him.

I'm supposed to care about the I-C belt but I don't because of the booking of the title so I don't care that he won and I don't like him so the sooner Barrett returns the better.

I'm okay with Miz winning. Yes, I love the guy, but objectively the IC title needed to end up on a "name" talent. If Sheamus didn't win, Miz was the next best choice.

I just hope Miz winning is setting up a Barrett face turn.
He's over, the crowd want to cheer him. Miz would be the perfect guy to turn him face against. He should bring back the headbutt he used against Miz years ago to interrupt promos. That should be face Barrett's thing.

I look forward to sporadic defenses with no build up whatsoever.

Might as well turn him heel for another run because as a face his character was dog shit.
I remember on a Legends of Wrestling, JR mentioned Davey Boy Smith and said, "you can only repackage a guy so many times before you have to give up and let him go." isn't that where the Miz is? Shouldn't this be his last chance?

Should have been Bo. A Good news vs Bad news feud would be great. Bo's shit eating grin while Barrett told everyone in the battle royal they would be destroyed by him/die was amazing.

PPV redeemed. This photo alone has sold me on the gimmick and Miz being IC champ, I'm not even kidding.

It was so obvious and yet somehow, Ziggler finally getting one over Sheamus had me believing for about half a second.

Would have preferred Slater, Bo, Ziggler, Cesaro among others. I am not a fan of Miz to begin with, but even taking that out of the equation I wouldn't have chose him to try and regain the prestige the IC title once had with great matches/memorable promos.
