Modern day PPV's are just longer episodes of RAW you can skip.
HHH should be grateful that anyone even bothered to pay for one, regardless of whether they complained or not.

On the one hand I love meta heel Triple H. His trolling us fans is a brilliant thing and the fact that he's getting a reaction shows that it's working. On the other hand wrestling as a business has changed. Yes WWE is the only game in town in terms of wrestling. But they want to be viewed as an entertainment company. In that aspect having the Ex.Vice President of your international company also being an on screen character who attacks your fans may not be the best thing. Why can't he just stay behind the scene? We know that he's good at finding talent and rebuilding bridges (see: Bruno). What he's not good at is presenting a professional image. Maybe he's channelling his inner Dana White.

Yeah I think that's something the company is going to have to address as they move ahead. Yes Vince was a heel in the late 90's. But Vince never attacked the fans for ripping on a shit ppv. That wasn't his character. That seems to be HHH's character and he's good at it. But how does that help the company when it comes to its public image? Well Vince did fire us all once.

I don't think that much people will cancel their suscriptions for this promo, some people will see it as HHH being a heel, others will enjoy it because "he make some smark jokes, I love it maggle" others didn't get it, and maybe some guys who were offended were just straming the PPV anyway. Now, battleground could be an interesting point, since the PPV was not that good to justify the purchase, but again, I think that Summerslam will had a bigger influence on the renewal that a bad battleground, at least I think that at first lots of people saw the network as wrestlemania, plus bonus content, so if they know how to promote summerslam (which I know that isn't as important as wrestlemania) I think that the renewal drops will not be bad. That being said, I think that lots of people will cancel their suscription not for a shitty PPV, but because I honestly can't think of the network as a package worthy to had besides the PPV (and I'm talking in a casual perspective who couldn't care less for a random WCCW show being on the network) Heels being heels? the world It's a little different to normal heel tactics though. Ever so often, it strikes me that WWE vent their real life anger on air. HHH whining about online fans when their commentators beat the audience over the head with Twitter and app plugs is just absurd. Well, I remeber that time where HHH had katie vick mannequin doing something similar so will not be weird to see HHH being angered through a promo for something not working

That kind of shit should stay behind the scenes. WWE gain nothing from whining publically about it.

I mean, Idk what people where expecting. There were at least 3 good matches, and a excellent tag match. It seems as if a lot of people are just mad cause their guy didn't win, which is in it's self kinda dumb.If you don't like the product watch something else. It's not like wwe is holding a gun to anyone's head or something dumb like that. I think most of the complaints were over WWE cancelling one of the advertised matches (Ambrose vs. Rollins). Which IMO, was a pretty shitty move. Yeah right, People are only calling it a shitty move, because WWE cancelled a matcn between 2 IWC favorites. None of you would have complained, if they had cancelled a advertised match between 2 wrestlers that the IWC hates(ADR vs. Big Show)

I gave HHH some credit even though I've always hated his character. The only time I was entertained was when D-X first started and when he and Stephanie divorced in kayfabe. I was rooting for him to get her back hard during that storyline.

He was over like shit yesterday. And it's no surprise that people complain more about popular fresh wrestlers than stale acts.

Just a reminder: Using the term "smark" "indy darling" and "IWC" as arguing points makes the person saying it look retarded and cluelessly misinformed about the current structure and status of the business, who is the most over, and the fact that the hardcore market vis-à-vis the Network are the most prominent and consistently paying audience right now. Only about 1/10 of the WWE viewing audience pays for the product. So people thinking the aforementioned terms are some trump card need to realize this moronic shtick is your demo's version of the idiot who cries "fake" when it comes to wrestling, or YouTube guy who thinks everything would be better served if the Attitude Era was back. You're ALL dinosaurs with no concept as to what you speak. And equally embarrassing.

So, I'm not watching right now. What did he say? I'm paraphrasing but basically (in the most sarcastic tone you can imagine): "Maybe I'll go complain online! I'll go tweet about it! Or send a Vine! And maybe I'll watch with my best friend Mark!"

You do that on Raw, not on a PPV! You do it on what ever you want to do it on... ...if you want to lose money. This is kind of like opening a restaurant and saying you'll bring whatever food tto people's tables that you want to.

No this is more along the lines of people wanting 1/2 off food all the time, or your seasonal dishes all the time. Yes wwe has great ppv's where everything is really big (like wm/rr/summer slam) But they are the special ppvs. Battleground is kinda the everyday ppv. What happened once again is par for what wwe does. If you don't like it you probably don't like WWE product. If you hate seeing cena beat the Odds don't watch matches where the Odds are against Cena. If you hate seeing Bray Wayatt cheat and lose don't watch matches were Bray is a heel. If you hate seeing matches being canceled to advance story lines you probably shouldn't be watching wrestling...

So, lemme get this right: By watching something, you're signing some sort of contract that forfeits your right to complain? No effing way, man. If that's the way you roll, that's your call, but if I'm gonna spend my time on something - or god forbid my MONEY - I have every single right to complain about not getting what I paid for. If the menu says bourbon sauce and you're out of bourbon sauce, I'm not gonna still stay there, give you my money and take whatever you're willing to give me - I'm gonna go somewhere where they're going to give me what is actually advertised and what I actually want! If you're not gonna give me what I want - especially if you're advertising it - I'm not gonna give you my money, simple as that.

You know what was really great about that dig - it wasn't the least bit clever....so about par for the course for most of WWE's promos.
