He also once did a video where he said he didn't know about you, but he felt like 22, DESPITE BEING IN HIS 30s. Punk's lack of trustworthiness confirmed!

He had a great run that was earned, not given, and he looks like he is loving his life right now. Good for him, I wish nothing but the best.
If I never see him in the ring again I would be perfectly fine with that, and this is coming from a huge CM Punk fan.
With that being said...he'll be back.

Ok I'm gonna be the first one to say it...with that haircut...he looks like he has a vagina Man I f***ing hate this Phil Brooks alter ego, let's see how long his lasts, maybe in 10 years when he goes through an airport and no one bothers him for an autograph, he'll tell the twins, "you know creepy people wanted me to sign underwear, I miss them now." "We know dad we know, quitter."

Of course he will be back. The reason he left is because he didn't want to go back down the mountain he took so long the climb. When Triple H offers the guy a role as a player in the main storyline, with creative that makes sense to him, he'll be back.
That being said, if he doesn't comeback, good for him.

He looks happy as f***, good for him there is more to life than professional wrestling. I will hold on to the memory of the last time I saw him live, getting destroyed by our new streak conquering over lord savior.

Everyone of the major superstars of the last 20 years have taken time off for one reason or another. The closest comparison to Punk I think is Jericho, where it wasn't wholly injury related. He was burnt out and wanted some time to himself to heal mentally and physically and do some other things.
I don't think there is any question he will be back. It might be next year, it might be like Shawn and be 3 or 4 years before we see him in a ring again (aside from Shawn's GM stint and occasional appearance during that time frame which I dont see Punk doing). The business is in his blood, his wife is still there, he'll be back and it'll be huge.
That said, I don't even really care. He was never a favorite of mine, but I do respect him and wish no ill will.

Uh....the reason he's on the red carpet at a music award ceremony? That's a stretch, considering how many musicians he's close friends with. And not for being CM punk, but for being Phil. Lame response. If Punk wasn't a known wrestler and was just an average schmuck working at waffle house there is no way he would be friends with any popular musicians. He's friends with them for being CM Punk. If he was Phil Brookes, Waffle House person, he wouldn't know them.

You know, CM Punk's quitting of WWE seems to be justified in the fact that his health is awful, including injuries, constant pain, even memory loss, which begs the question: what is it like for people currently in WWE right now?

Doesn't matter really as Punk's far healthier and happier than he's been in a while.
This is best for him.

Most of them haven't been wrestling for as long as he was, and even when he came into WWE, he had bad knees.

According to your logic you can't be friends with someone famous unless you are famous yourself? ? I'm not buying that at all. It is possible that they like the guy and would be friends with him whether he was famous or not. The only lame response is yours with assuming that Punk's friends only like him for being famous. I have a friend that played in the NFL and another that went to the Olympics. I can assure you that I am not famous. I am simply friends with them because we have the same interests. And I have gotten to do some cool things thanks to being friends with them. So it is very possible that Punk would be friends with them whether he was famous or not. Obviously Punk has a few more doors open because of who he is, but it is naive to think that he wouldn't have some of the same opportunities without being famous. It's quite easy, call famous friend, ask for tickets/entrance/invite/VIP pass to event. Go to event. Not a hard process.

I mean, I know wrestling is physically demanding, but it sounds like CM Punk is in awful physical condition after wrestling and I wonder if that might just partially be specific to him or most wrestlers have it that bad sooner or later.

Unless Phil worked as a concert promoter before taking up wrestling, then he met and befriended these musicians through WWE's exposure as CM Punk. If you're a celebrity who's a big fan of another celebrity it's much easier to meet them. Pretty sure him and Lars Frederiksen have been friends long before CM punk blew up as a "celebrity", considering Lars is the front man for Rancid, one of the biggest punk bands out there, I would imagine it wasn't hard for Phil to network out from there. There's no doubt that cm has gained fame from probably the most influential entertainment company around. There's also no harm in cm punk using that to host red carpet events.

From my experience, anyone who does any kind of athletics at a high/intense level as that will have some kind of physical problems. While all are not major, most that train at that level have "battle scars"
