Nope, my apartment had a wall unit when I moved in, with a space for one in the bedroom. Its actually kind of frustrating for me; I'd like to leave it off when I go to work during the day to save on my electric bill, but because of the way my apartment is laid out, the only way to really get it cooled off enough to be comfortable is to leave it running all day. I've been trying to find a timer for it so I can leave it off and have it turn on a at a set time a few hours before I leave work, but the plug is strange-the prongs are actually horizontal rather than vertical, and I've yet to find a timer that fits it.

i have a window AC, but i wish i could have the window to let a breeze in when it's not overly hot. for next year going to look into central AC or one of those portable AC's that uses a exhaust duct

Hey does the A/C plug look like it would fit into this Sounds like you are just talking about a standard 240V plug. If so just check the Amp usage (probably less than 20) and it'll be easy to find on amazon and local Lowe's and Home Depot's should have them in stock. Only important thing you need to make sure of when getting a timer is that it's rated for more Amps then the A/C draws and you should be fine. If you have any questions about that just ask. edit : Poked around (asked my old man and checked him online) if it's 2 horizontal plugs then it's a 240V/15A plug. There's a couple on Amazon and I can almost guarantee if you go to Home Depot and ask for that type of timer and tell them it's for an AC they will have something.
