So, lately Stephanie has (Finally) been getting embarrassing comeuppances on almost a weekly basis, and I'm loving it. She's brilliant at giving over the top heel reactions to all of the embarrassment, almost like Vince McMahon used to do. Tonight was a perfect example. "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!?! I'LL HAVE YOUR BADGE AND YOUR BADGE TOO! THEY'RE MIIIIINNNNNEEEE!"
So much better than Untouchable-Alpha-Female-Boss Stephanie.

It's giving me a lot of confidence for the future. A big fear of Steph and Hunter taking over was their seeming refusal to look like goofballs, Steph at least has really been stepping it up since Mania.

Last night's fun was a huge step up from Roman spiking her coffee and getting dumped into gravy (the latter, which I admittedly enjoyed).

I love this Steph more than anything.
Part of me hopes this is leading to a loser spends the night in jail match with Brie at Summerslam - basically just redoing the Bossman/Mountie angle from Summerslam 91. Watching Steph being dragged into a cell screaming "I'm a McMahon!" would be awesome.
For added hilarity they could hire Crazy Eyes from OITNB for a cell mate... "Hey dandelion, you're gonna need a prison wife."

Eh, comeuppance to me should have a longer effect. If it's just a minor thing every week and she's back to her old self...it's just too Wile E. Coyote for me...

but at least she's getting something done back at her now. before she pretty much said and did whatever she wanted and nothing ever happened to her from it.

Good on Steph. She's finally learned that if you are a heel, at some point, you HAVE to look like a complete fool. Granted, it took her close to a year to figure that out but hey, better late than never.

Took her long enough to realize that, but it was great seeing her look like an idiot again last night. I actually made a thread back before WrestleMania about how she never gets comeuppance and thankfully that is no longer the case.

Eh, that wasn't even really comeuppance as much as a plot device for her feud and the overall story of the show.

This is true, I look at 'comeuppance' as more long lasting though. Take D-Bry for instance he beat the entire Authority and won the title at Mania and by definition did get comeuppance, but at the end of the day they kept f***ing with him so it didn't really matter. That's just my perspective though. If Stephanie has to be on TV, this is the only acceptable way.

This is how I see it though. Steph needed a few instances of power tripping without consequence so that her ego would grow even bigger, so that when she did start experience consequence, it would be even more punishing.
In other words, I kinda see why Steph has been portrayed in the way that she has. It's going to be all downhill from here for her in the story.

The only thing I have a problem with in this topic is y'all calling her "Crazy Eyes." It's Suzanne, y'all. Her name is Suzanne.

I don't know why anyone really built it up in their head that she was always gonna get her way and never get bit anyways.

Steph has been great since WM. She comes off as somewhat over the top, but I actually think that MAKES the character.
She's getting natural heat. That crowd went nuts last night when she got arrested.
Why she isn't the one trying to stop Reigns beats me.
