Because they didn't have anything going for them aside from "We're related to Bret and Bulldog...and Anvil I guess!"
Good in the ring, but they didn't really have anything else going for them especially during that time period for tag teams. Nothing will ever sum up that period than when Cody and McIntyre finally came up with a team name after they'd held the Tag titles for a couple of months (The Dashing Ones they referred themselves to as). That same night they lost a match and split up immediately after.
Terrible era in general for WWE really. How I managed to keep watching from summer 2009-early 2011 is beyond me.

I didn't know he still wrestled. Good to hear. It's funny to hear anyone say the Usos are more entertaining, considering the reactions they got upon their debut. Sometimes getting over just takes time, I guess. The Usos were dead in the water for their first couple of years on the roster. I can remember threads calling for the Conway Pop to be renamed the Uso Pop. Yeah pretty much until they started doing the Siva Tau they got pretty much no reaction.

Tyson Kidd had a stupid name, stupid haircut, and bland personality. Smith was too green. Natalya was the only watchable part. Also the remix of the Hart theme sucked.

Because they were a tag team in WWE.

They weren't really given much to work with though. Constant rematches, rarely getting mic time, and less than compelling stories. Wow, that prutty much describes the WWE's typical midcard scene. No wonder so few get over. Also, if they had stuck around much longer they would be getting similar reactions as the Uso's. The Uso's haven't changed much since they debuted besides putting face paint and babbling on in their entrance. Sometimes it takes the audience having a "well, we might as well chant for them since they've been trying so hard to get our attention!" kind of attitude.

Its just hilarious to see how their original gimmick was against being stereotypical Samoans, now they have become what they had originally campaigned against. Maybe not as drastic as having bones in their head, but the chanting, tongue sticking and chanting. So savage!

Kidd at the time wasn't charismatic at all, Bulldog's kid is mediocre all the way around, and so is Natalya.
Just being Hart related ain't gonna get you over when all you can say about the members of said group is that they're just ok.

Rewind the clock a little and I remember when the pieces of the Hart Dynasty were first forming on WWECW. It had potential, partially because they were self entitled heels that were harping on their heritage and pedigrees. It was getting over, from what I could tell, with fans of that particular product.
But they didn't stay there long and soon enough they were turned face, and just made...really boring. Didn't help that, as many have said, at the time if you were a tag team you didn't matter in the WWE.
Hell, they even downplayed Punk and Gallows when they teamed for a brief period during the time the division revolved around the JeriShow/MizShow/JeriMiz and DX teams. And, that had Punk attached to it, who at that point was a former two time world champion.

Because they weren't that good
Everyone seems to think that when you pair up decent wrestlers with a linage that they have to be great, but as a team they had nothing. They were literally just people who had an association to the Harts, that's it. They weren't this incredible tag team and if they wouldn't have worn pink and called themselves something different, they'd have been split within months.

I thought they were hitting their stride in 2010 once they got the Tag Team titles, but then they just broke up so both of them could languish on Superstars for years to come.
I never understood whey they broke up.

Why didn't they want it to work? No idea. I would never try to make logical sense of Vince McMahon's brain the instances of WWE actually wanting something not to work are so rare to be almost non-existent now the instances of them not caring one way or the other? I'm sure there's a shitload of them

Fans liked them and they had good matches. They could have been so much more sure, but how many guys can that be said for in WWE history? The majority?

It's funny to think how good Harry got once he went to New Japan and started teaming with Lance Archer of all people. One of if not the top team in New Japan.
And if you listen to Harry he had issues with agents because they were not told what they couldn't do in matches until after the match and he thought that was dumb

Because they weren't any good. Honestly, they never had any kind of gimmick. They were super generic. For god's sake, your kayfabe history is that you trained in Stu Hart's murder basement. Go out there and torture some dude's. Wrap them up in painful holds and laugh in their face when they scream about how much it hurts. Straight up Divas of Doom everyone in sight. I want Tyson putting dude's in Sharpshooters and then DH stomping them in the back of the head. Just be nasty technical jerks.

Because they were boring as shit. I think all three (from what I've seen of them lately) are well rounded talents, but back then they were nowhere as developed or comfortable in front of cameras as they would eventually get. And yeah, it showed. Nattie's mic work especially evolved from back then to her Total Divas run.
