Hey FAN!
I used to run what I used to call "Wrestling Pools" on other forums. Basically, they are like Fantasy Sports, but for wrestling. Therefore, I am now calling them "Fantasy Wrestling Leagues." I don't know if anything like that has been done here (my guess is yes...?), but, unless I'm blind, I'm not seeing something like that here now. Having experience running quite a few successful leagues, I wouldn't mind getting the ball rolling on them here.
Here's how it would work (in bullet form!)...
- Based on interest, the league(s) would have 8-10 participants.
- A draft would be held where the participants select wrestlers.
- The league can be for only WWE or WWE and TNA or only TNA or WWE and NXT or ROH or all of the above. If there is interest in multiple promotions, there can be different leagues going at once. I once ran WWE/TNA, WWE only, TNA only, and ROH only leagues all at once.
- Obviously, the league will be all about points. Points will be given for wins. Different matches will hold more weight than others, of course. For example, championship matches holding more weight than regular one-on-one matches. Also, PPV matches will weigh more than TV matches. I have not always done this in the past, but losses can also end up being minus points.
- There will be opportunities for trades and transactions. However, there would probably be specific rules about adding and dropping based on TV tapings (therefore, anything involving TNA might get a tiny bit complicated...but still very doable!).
- There will also be "seasons." The first time I ever ran a league, it went from the RAW after a Wrestlemania until Summerslam. I have also done pools that have gone from one Wrestlemania to the next Wrestlemania. What I am thinking right now is that since it is currently July, we can get sign-ups going, get the draft done, and maybe start at Summerslam and go until...Wrestlemania?
I'm sure some of you have participated in something like this in the past. I am just explaining for those that may not have.
If you have any interest, there are a few things I would like for you to do to show it.
1) Post in this thread and say, "I'm interested, bro"...or however you feel comfortable stating your interest.
2) You can also PM me your interest or any questions
3) When you say you are interested, please tell me what type of league you would be interested in (i.e. - WWE only, TNA only, both WWE and TNA together, ROH, NXT being involved).
4) If you claim interest, please be willing to make a commitment to being active in the league. It really does not take much effort. However, do not be THAT guy who holds the draft up or keeps inactive wrestlers on your roster because you are not checking in. If you become inactive, I will hunt you down and/or seek a replacement
Once I see that there is enough interest, I can start official sign-ups. Those who show interest first will be offered spots first. If there is a TON of interest, then other leagues can spring up, as well. I would not mind running multiple leagues at once. I would love to see a WWE only, TNA only, WWE and TNA together, and ROH only league. I would also love to see NXT involved in the WWE leagues.
Once the sign-ups get going (assuming there is interest), I will whip up the rules for points and transactions.
No pressure to sign up. This is just for fun. Let me know.
Also, let me know if you have any questions.

Points for PPV Predictions
For every PPV, you will have until 7:30 (EST) to submit your match predictions. You will receive one point for each correct match prediction. The person(s) with the highest score will receive a five point bonus. Predictions must be submitted in the league thread to be counted.
Other Scoring Clarification
- Points are given to the announced winner of the match
- Matches with stipulations or gimmicks get 5 extra points. Therefore, a Hell in a Cell match will get 5 extra points...as will a three-way or a handicap match or a ladder match and so on.
- Contest-type matches will not receive points. That goes for stuff like debates, dance-offs, arm wrestling contests, and so forth.
Transaction Rules
Adding/Dropping
Because the WWE tapes some shows in advance, the transaction period will close every Monday at 7 PM (EST) and remain closed until 10 PM (EST) on Friday. Therefore, the transaction period will be closed from the beginning of the Superstars taping until the end of the airing of Smackdown. On the rare weeks when RAW is taped, there will be minor time adjustments to this rule.
On PPV weekends, the transaction period will also close during the PPV (7:30 to 11 PM EST).
Trades
Trades can be made at any time between participants. Trades must be posted in the league thread by one of the participants in the trade. The other participant will have 24 hours to confirm the trade. Upon confirmation, the rest of the league will have 48 hours to review the trade for possible veto. If 4 participants veto the trade, the trade is canceled. Trades that are made official during the closed transaction period will be put into effect when the transaction period opens back up after Smackdown.
