That Tommy Dreamer quintuple-duty thread got me curious about a wrestler having more than one match in the same show. I wonder what the all-time record is?
The most famous one I can think of is when Macho Man did quad-duty at WrestleMania 4. KOTR events also cause double/triple/quad-duty matches.
Yokozuna did double duty at WrestleMania 9 and 10, winning the first match, losing the second match at both events. 2 of his opponents at those WMs also did double duty (Hulk did a tag match and Bret vs Owen).
Some of the Royal Rumbles can cause a natural double-duty as some of the wrestlers on the undercard participate in the Rumble match itself. MITB cash-ins also cause double-duties.
Maybe there's a hardcore 24/7 show somewhere where somebody did octo-duty or deca-duty or something like that.

Triple H wrestled five matches on a Smackdown once in order to qualify for the Six Pack Challenge at Unforgiven 99.

Years ago there was an indy promotion that tried to set the record for the world's longest wrestling show. A lot of the same guys kept coming back to wrestle under masks and whatnot during the evening. I don't know if they even achieved the record.

Savio Vega at King of the RIng 1995 wrestled:
IRS Yokozuna The Roadie Mabel
though the IRS match was pre-show to "earn" Razor's place in the tournament because he was injured.

Triple H wrestled five matches on a Smackdown once in order to qualify for the Six Pack Challenge at Unforgiven 99. Wasn't every match a gimmick match aswell?

Pulling double-duty was never an uncommon thing in almost any territory. From guys no-showing to injuries to wrestlers working different gimmicks (Steve Lombari, Jack Victory) to marathon tapings (the 1980s WWF tapings were horrendous for this reason at times) to simply not having enough on the roster for a full card, it was and is a very, very common occurrence.
Plenty of threes and fours out there too, thanks to things like one-night tournaments.

Randy Savage and Junkyard Dog at The Wrestling Classic Ah yes. Macho wrestled four but JYD only wrestled three because of a double count out in a semifinal match between Tito Santana and Paul Orndorff. Jesse Ventura made a huge deal about that on commentary. I always believed Savage should've gone over in that one.

There was also that one Royal Rumble where Mick Foley wrestled under each of his personas. Can't remember exactly which year, though.

I was at a TV taping when I was little and Virgil wrestled 4 times in one night. Granted 3 were squashes, but his 1 against Dibiase went about 10 minutes.

Keiji Mutoh, Kokushi Muso, and the Great Muta all wrestled and won separate matches on the same All Japan card in 2002. Mutoh and Muta also once appeared in the same tag team match — Mutoh started, got pissed off and left, and Muta came out to replace him.

Kurt Angle at king of the ring, against edge, later against shane mcmahon, that must've been a really long night for him, still both matches were awesome, the second one being great.
