Your initial reaction to Bischoff's first night on RAW

From the moment he interrupted that Booker T/Coach interview backstage, mine was "Really? Eric Bischoff's in WWE now? This is so cool, but so weird!". It was even more surreal seeing him hug and shake the hand of Vince McMahon a few minutes after.

Having never watched WCW programming, I had no idea who Eric Bischoff was. That moment didn't do much for me.

I heard that Bischoff was hiding in Vince's limo the whole night and basically nobody except Vince even knew of him showing up. Also Bischoff sneaking up behind Booker T was done without Booker's knowledge just to let the fans know that even the boys in the back were every bit as stunned as we were.

That awesome feeling when you get when WWE hits one out of the part with a surprise. Maybe they shouldn't have shown him arriving and shaking hands with Booker T, but the overall moment was incredible. Regardless of how it was revealed, it was a jaw-dropping surprise and you can hear the reaction it got if you go back and listen to Booker T interview. I wonder if the idea was to see if showing Bischoff backstage and then going to commercial would cause people to call friends to tell them to tune in to Raw and it might be reflected in the ratings.
