Hugh Jackman is the biggest star they've had. Smallest star they've had on? Anyone from Nascar. WWE realizes that 99% of people watching would have ZERO idea of who that is, right? Yes it's big in the south, but that's about it in the US, and the rest of the world has no idea what Nascar is. Jackman is big, but he's not Arnold/Tyson/Ali in their primes big.

He may have been too young at the time to be an A-Lister per se, but Jonathan Taylor Thomas was a HUGE star by 1995 when he was guest timekeeper at Wrestlemania XI.

Yeah but more so during his younger days with his feud with Gorilla Monsoon, wrestlemania 1 he just kinda stood there, Patterson wasn't supposed to be the ref until they saw that Ali couldn't pull it off.

Still, his worldwide name recognition makes him #1 IMO. I think he's by far the most famous celebrity to ever appear on WWE programming.

Just trying to come up with different names from those already listed...
If my memory serves, Andy Warhol, Danny DeVito, and Billy Crystal made appearances in the early/mid 1980s, either as fans shown in the audience or making special appearances for the Rock n' Wrestling angle for MTV.
Some of the performers of 'America the Beautiful' are quite legendary: Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Little Richard.

Its Ali by a longshot, the guy even in his old age, even ravaged by Parkinsons is still one of of the most famous, and recognized people on Earth. Not too mention one of the most loved. Only Stallone, Arnold, and Tyson come anywhere close, and even then they are WAY behind.

Ben Stiller was probably at the peak of his fame when he showed up on Raw in 1999.

Super Dave Osborne turned them down so that he could guest host tna. Au contraire! He did a little work with WWE around 1994 because he had a show on USA Network and they wanted to use Raw to promote it.
