Super Dave Osborne turned them down so that he could guest host tna. Au contraire! He did a little work with WWE around 1994 because he had a show on USA Network and they wanted to use Raw to promote it. I'll regret it but I must watch it!

Did Stallone ever appear other than the HoF? He's a pretty big star. I don't think Sly has appeared on WWE TV before or since. I know that he has done more bad movies than good for a while now, but it would be great if they could get him on TV. He is still a big star even today.

Surely Mike Tyson was the biggest star at that point in time?

Bob Barker is iconic and was also by far the greatest celebrity appearance.

You people should know that people here in the distant world only know of Tyson, Ali, Stallone & probably Jackman of these. So yeah those four.

As big of a star as Jackman is, I'd argue that Rock is actually a bigger star. Certainly neither are on the level of a Schwarzenegger or Ali.

I'd say WWE getting Pamela Anderson in 1995 for Royal Rumble and WrestleMania was pretty big, I think Baywatch was one of the biggest and most imported shows around the world.

I'd say getting Hugh Jackman while he's currently one of the biggest box office draws in the world has to be number one. Yeah, they had Ali, but it was past his prime Ali. Arnold's film career was winding down when they had him on SmackDown. Jackman on the other hand is still making a gazillion dollars a picture as Wolverine.

Bradley Cooper is a pretty big name. He falls somewhere between the second and third tier

Ali is one of the most recognizable names and faces on the planet in the last century. The odd thing is, at the time he was at Mania, it was probably the lowest point of his media presence. Once the movie and documentaries came out about him later on, it exposed him to a whole new generation.
Besides Ali, not sure if this counts, but Hogan is just as big, if not bigger than all those mentioned. You'd have to go to some pretty far off corners of this planet to find someone who's never seen or heard of Hogan.

Id say Muhammad Ali is easily the most widely recognised celebrity they have ever had appear.

Arnold, easily. I don't really count the president or his opponents because they just taped messages. Arnold's actually been there in person.
