Well if Jerry's plan was to have a backup so bad no one in ATT would chant for him over Romo, he might have succeeded.

Excellent. It took too long to get implemented, but that's great news all the same.

So apparently the new guideline actually says that a 2nd offense = indefinite suspension.

The report that it is lifetime banishment for a second offense of domestic violence is flat-out incorrect.
What it actually says is that a second offense "will result in banishment from the NFL; while an individual may petition for reinstatement after one year."
Sure, a player will be "banished" from the league, but when they appeal and petition for reinstatement, unless it is the most grisly of offenses, they're going to be welcomed back to the NFL.
And as for the presumption that Roger Goodell put his foot down on domestic violence, that too is a crock. There was never any baseline for domestic violence suspensions in the NFL. Those suspensions were as long or as short as Roger Goodell determined them to be, and as I explained in a lengthy post a few weeks ago, oftentimes they were on the short end, either one or two games. This just gives the league a baseline suspension. The NFL could have suspended Ray Rice for six games, 10 games, whatever, they just decided to go with what they usually always went with - a minimal, two-game suspension. This time it finally blew up in their faces.
Thirdly, players still have the right to appeal these suspensions. So while a player can slap his girlfriend around and the NFL can hand down a six-game penalty, as long as he shows contrition and Goodell believes him to be honestly apologetic (as he was so duped by Ray Rice), that suspension can be reduced.

Man, these young guys on the Broncos have me feeling better about the future. Preseason or not, they look like the belong and not like total embarrassments like players on some of the other teams in similar spots.
Kicking game will be the drizzling shits until Prater gets back unless they make another move though.

Working as the starter, Derek Carr completed 11-of-13 passes for 143 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in Thursday's preseason finale against the Seahawks.

The NFL has insured that women will NEVER Speak up about Domestic Violence now.
Those NFL Wives and Girlfriends like the $$$, and well, if they get a lifetime ban because of it, that means their gravy trains coming to a halt, so essentially, I think this rule will not work. If the Domestic Violence crimes go down, that wont necessarily mean that the guys are stopping, that just means the women have stopped coming forward so they don't lose their money
Something has to be done but I don't think this was it...

Dropped Lamar Miller for Fred Jackson as my Bye Back
I normally don't drop and pick up guys, but Lamar gave me heartache last year when I expected him to be a RB2. And I've actually been that guy to pick up Fred Jackson preseason TWO Separate Years. Yes, for some reason, no one in my league drafts F-Jax, ever, and I always scoop him up lol
Pending Injury F-Jax is just a much better PPR Option to me, and someone who always gets some kind of production, especially considering Spiller is never used at the Goal line, so cheap TD's and Receptions = A Much better option than someone who's not even 100 percent guaranteed the starting role.

Only gripe I have is that I only got one QB, but it's Aaron Rodgers, and I had an extra RB that I put on waivers to get Andy Dalton. This is my lineup for the first game of the season, ironically against you, Seth: QB: Aaron Rodgers RB: Arian Foster RB: Rashad Jennings WR: Jordy Nelson WR: Reggie Wayne TE: Jason Witten FLEX: Joique Bell (RB) K: Stephen Gostkowski DEF/ST: Carolina BN: Bishop Sankey (RB) (Waived for Andy Dalton) BN: Cecil Shorts III (WR) BN: Kendall Wright (WR) BN: Rob Gronkowski(TE) BN: Sebastian Janikowski (K) BN: Seattle (DEF/ST)

I kinda feel bad for Michael Sam if he gets cut. He's actually played really well during the preseason and I think based on talent and work ethic he'd deserve to make the cut. But the Rams are a stacked defensive team and he might get cut simply because there are so many better, bigger, and more flexible players on that team.
But I think he's shown he's an NFL-tier talent and a team that needs help at DE would be interested if he's cut by the Rams.

Oh, yeah, I think Sam will have a job even if he gets cut by the Rams. Dude's got a hell of a work ethic and plays well, so he'll suit up for somebody.

That would fit the Jets' MO.
"Man, our secondary is terrible. A traffic cone would be a better cornerback than our current ones. But our D-Line is solid."
"Let's sign a defensive end!"

I mean, people sometimes forget the fact that he was the SEC Defensive Player of the Year, for goodness sakes. I am so not looking forward to the regular season if the Colts play like this, even if this is the third and foruth stringers. The only guy who scored last night for Indy is going to be cut because he's a freakin' moron. You don't punt the football as a celebration!
