NFC East - Philadelphia NFC West - San Francisco NFC North - Green Bay NFC South - New Orleans Wildcard 1 - Seattle Wildcard 2 - Carolina
NFC Championship Game Green Bay vs. New Orleans
AFC East - New England AFC West - Denver AFC North - Pittsburgh AFC South - Indianapolis Wildcard 1 - New York Jets Wildcard 2 - San Diego Chargers
AFC Championship Game Denver vs. Indianapolis
Superbowl Denver beats New Orleans
Denver is still the team to beat in the AFC, and they're likely going to be even better than last year, barring injury. Mile High is still a tough place to play, and their defense is on track to be better than it was.
The NFC is much tougher, because I think at least 5 of the playoff teams have a solid shot at making it. But I think New Orleans has the best chances.
Denver's problem last year was that they ran against a team in the Super Bowl who had a defense that was tailor made to stop the short pass, which is what Denver's bread and butter was. But I don't think many other teams can do that as well as Seattle could.

I'd be very content with a Denver-New Orleans Super Bowl, and I don't think it's too outside the realm of possibility.
If the pre-season is any indication (I know, I know, but here me out), this defense has a new mindset. For YEARS, dating back to when I started watching in '05, Denver's defense has played weak and timid. Last year they ran into a squad that played with a nasty, tough mindset; Seattle's defense pops you in the mouth and makes you say "sorry", and I think some of that has rubbed off on Denver. From what I've seen this past month, Denver's D is FINALLY playing with an edge, and if that transfers into the regular season we'll be a force to be reckoned with again.
As for my predictions...
AFC North: Cincinnati: The old guard is still there in Pittsburgh and Baltimore, but I think Cincinnati wins the North with ease this year.
AFC East: New England: Until Brady retires the East will forever remain the Pats' conference. I think the Bills will be a close second this year.
AFC South: Indianapolis: This is going to be a fun conference to watch; Houston's defense looks to be rejuvenated with the addition of Clowney, and the Jags look like they're finally putting pieces in place to bring some credibility back to their franchise. I think Indy takes it because they're the best team in the South right now, but I don't think they win it easily.
AFC West: Denver: Kansas City will be second, but this is Denver's division right now. San Diego missed their chance and their windows closing, and Oakland's Oakland.
_________________________________________________
NFC North: Green Bay: If Aaron Rodgers doesn't go down, this is easily Green Bay's division. If Rodgers goes down, I think any of the other three teams can take it.
NFC East: Eagles, I Guess: Still the worst division in football. Eagles take it because they're a better package, I suppose; and they have Shady. That helps.
NFC South: New Orleans: I expect this one to be close between New Orleans and Carolina, but I do think New Orleans edges them out and wins the division. With Tampa Bay bringing in Lovie Smith, it looks like both the AFC and NFC South should be fun to watch this year.
NFC West: San Francisco: I know I'm in the minority here, but I just have a gut feeling that Seattle is going to fall off something fierce this year. No, nothing like 4-12, but I think with the young guys getting big contracts they won't be as "magical" as they were this year. If San Fran can fix their offensive woes that were present in the pre-season, San Fran takes the West this year.

That's true. I mean, they're still a rebuilding team that's not very good, but I think this could be the year they start to rise up. It feels like Oakland's been a rebuilding team even before JaMarcus Russell got drafted. They'll recover eventually, but the Raiders are stuck in a perpetual haze of mediocrity like Buffalo. They're not bad enough to get really tremendous draft picks (like Indy did with Luck) but they're by no means good enough to make the playoffs and get an easy schedule. I feel for Raiders fans, who have stuck it out for years with little to no progress. They're bad enough to get really tremendous picks, the problem is they just f*** it up massively. In 2004 they had the 2nd pick and took the "sure thing" in Robert Gallery, instead of Larry Fitzgerald, Ben Roethlisberger, Sean Taylor, Philip River, or Kellen Winslow. in 2005 they took Fabian Washington, instead of a QB which they needed, Green Bay took Aaron Rodgers right after that. Then you have 2007, where they passed up on 5 unquestioned 1st ballot hall of famers that went in the top 15 (Joe Thomas, Megatron, All Day, Patrick Willis and Revis) and that's even leaving off Marshawn Lynch, to take Jamarcus.

Fox has a good defensive mind, it just has been a deficit of talent. They've shored a lot of that up, so unless they just collapse or Peyton gets injured, I don't see anyone in the AFC who would usurp them.

Playoff teams:
NFC East - Eagles NFC North - Packers NFC South - Saints NFC West - Seahawks
Wildcard teams: 49ers, Redskins*
I'm not a homer. Offensively, they match up well, on paper against any other team in the NFC. They have weapons galore, defensively you hope they will improve. IDK, they are my darkhorse team. If not, then I think the 2nd wild card spot will come from the NFC North, more than likely the Bears unless Cutler goes down with another injury.
AFC East - Patriots AFC South - Colts AFC North - Bengals AFC West - Broncos
Wildcard teams: Ravens and Jets
I think the Jets have all the pieces to become a playoff team, maybe at 9-7. If Geno Smith makes the leap they can make some noise.
NFC Championship: Packers over Saints AFC Championship; Broncos over Patriots
Packers over Broncos in the Super Bowl.

Everybody's counting the Rams out this year, but I think even with Sam Bradford going down for the year the defense and the running game will help them get a wildcard spot and surprise everybody.

Well, only five days left until another season of Dallas disappointing me. God, I'm at the point where I honestly want the Cowboys to go 0-16 so that Jason Garrett will get the f*** away from this team.

I used to think the problem was Romo, and I was pretty brutal to him over the years, but I've some to realize that Jerry Jones has failed to put the right team out there and has made some dubious coaching choices. I think he deserves the vast majority of criticism

Jerry Jones thinking that he can GM is a huge part of the problem, just sit back and sign the paychecks genius.

Speaking of the Boys, Rapoport is saying on Twitter that the Cowboys are pretty much guaranteed to sign Sam to the practice squad. He says the FO spent today calling players to gauge the reaction on signing Sam.
EDIT - He just tweeted out and said Sam is flying to Dallas tonight. If he passes the physical, he'll be on their practice squad.

I think Jerry Jones the owner is probably one of the best in the game. Great at promotion, generating revenue (his stadium ad deals are one example) and really gives his team anything they need to succeed along with making the fan experience one of a kind.
Jerry Jones the GM is freakin terrible. He has no idea how to build a roster that compliments his best players. As it is now he has Romo, Bryant and that's it pretty much. Defense is a trainwreck and that's all his fault.

I hate the Pokes on general principle, but here's hoping that Sam can go from the practice squad to the game day roster someday.
