Oh, this again?
They (convincingly) killed Dr. Nick in the movie, and he came back a year or so later.
Then last season they hyped a death that was supposed to be important, and it ended up being some character they just made up for that moment.
If people gave McFarlane shit for killing Brian off (with much more genuine surprise than this) then they need to give The Simpsons the same treatment for this.

Who still watches the Simpsons now, honestly? The show has literally been bad longer for twice as long as it was ever good.

My belief is that it is {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Rabbi Hyman Krustofsky That could be true, since Jackie Mason did win an emmy for the episode.

I actually feel like we are slowly approaching the end for this iconic show. When they have to resort to cheap gimmicks like this and the Family Guy crossover, you know they are near empty for ideas.

Krusty's Sad Last Days
Oh well. I'm not affected either way considering I haven't bothered with the Simpsons in 15 years. The only thing that annoyed me was that extra 15 years of syndication, which meant if I wanted to watch an earlier episode...it probably wasn't going to happen. I would turn on the TV and see about 3 minutes of terrible writing and have to turn it off. Sure the Simpsons still have life in them, but the quality of life has dwindled to nearly nothing. It's too bad they don't just kill the show out of mercy before it gets any worse. Comparing it to other crap on TV is a moot point. Perhaps if we expected more out of a show, then we wouldn't get so much D level garbage.

I can't believe people still watch Simpsons. It just gets f***ing worse and worse. Things like this are like the 'please tell people about this show' voiceover from Arrested Development brought to life. The last few seasons have had some f***ing awful episodes. But there are a few gems that come to mind. I'd recommend the following recent episode At Long Last Leave Holidays of Future Passed Brick Like Me How I Wet Your Mother I feel these ones show the potential the show still has.

ANd of course people will say this was OK, unlike that awful publicity stunt with Brian...

ANd of course people will say this was OK, unlike that awful publicity stunt with Brian... Because they likely won't intentionally reverse the decision 2 episodes later
