I see nothing wrong with this. She wants people paying attention to her new album, and we damn sure are. I mean, when was the last time you had a discussion with someone about an album cover in this digital age? It doesn't really benefit her unless all the people talking about it are actually planning to buy the album, though. Which I am not. To quote Bischoff, controversy creates cash. Even ICP sold like a million records for being controversial in 1997/1998. I wouldn't have otherwise even known Minaj had a new album, but all this attention because of the cover has me in the know. I probably won't buy it either, but the hoopla around this will actually get the word to those in her audience that were unaware and some of them will buy it, or at least a random song or two from iTunes.

I'd find a way. It's one of the problems you just have to face being a white ass-man. The eternal struggle. Always loved that gif. Especially the end where he lowers his head when he seemingly realizes: "I can't pull this off."

"Monster" is still one of the best verses of the past five years.
And the first half of her last album that was pure rapping was stellar.
She's great.

Yeah, that's the thing that bugs me about Minaj. She's proven that she can be dope when she puts in the effort but she just phones it in more often than not. Same thing with Lil Wayne.

I guess I would rather see that than see the stupid faces she is always making.

Yeah, but even so, she's the most popular female rapper today by a pretty large margin. I find it rather hard to believe that she actually needs controversy to help sell her record. All she has to do is post "New album drops today" on Twitter and boom: 18 million people are in the know.

I could be completely wrong about this, but Nicki Minaj doesn't seem like someone who needs to have a good reason to show off her body. I'm sure the extra attention is probably a part of it ("Have you seen that new Nicki Minaj album cover?"), but it really could just be that she wants to show off her ass.

One thing that's worth mentioning is that this is just artwork for her new single; the artwork for the album hasn't been released yet.

I barely know who this person is. I mean, I know the name, know she was on American Idol as a judge. Outside of that, that's all I know. I'm totally getting old and I'll make myself sound older than I really am by saying at least John Lennon showed his cock to sell albums.
