Tyrion, of course. And I love Davos. Westeros is obsessed with honor, and yet, a lowly smuggler is the most honorable person on the show. Don't really have a favorite house.
And if we're talking the books, Victarion Greyjoy, an absolute bad ass. If he makes the show and they hire anybody other than Ray Stevenson, I may quit watching.

Not really any house, if I had to pick one probably the Starks (yeahs, I know, they're not off to a good start) because they seem to be the only one who aren't assholes. But really, I just root for Tyrion, which is odd considering he doesn't really have a goal other than being left alone, getting lid, eating good food and drinking good wine. Huh, come to think of it, that's exactly why I root for him. Other than him, Arya because for someone with such little experience, she's dealt with all the shit she's been through fairly well and is surprisingly competent for a little girl with virtually no training and her motives are some of the more understandable. Dany because her motives are respectable, her character development has been very interesting so far and frankly I don't get why the fandom is turning on her as I feel her less savoury moments and recent mistakes only make her more interesting as she is realizing how naive she's been. She has tough choices to makes, she makes them and sometimes it comes back to bite her in the ass. Really she's been more of a genuine ruler than most kings and queens in the show so far. To a lesser extent, Brienne. She isn't the most charismatic but God she's fun to watch. I also like that for all her strength and combat abilities, she is still too trusting of others and seems a bit too naive when it comes to politics. It's rare to see such a badass female character who doesn't end up being ridiculous (yeah, she beat Jamie and the Hound but both of them were already injured and not at the top of their game). And no, no matter how hard the show tries to make me sympathize with him, I can't support Jamie. Ever. Dude's an asshole and I wouldn't mind seeing his head on a spike. Some people might be mad at me for this, but I root for Sansa. I'm hoping her time with Littlefinger teaches her how to play the game of thrones...and I hope she becomes a master at it...and I hope she kills Littlefinger somehow. I just want that arrogant prick to get his. I wouldn't go as far as saying that I'm rooting for her yet but she did grow on me in the fourth season. Of course it helps that she finally seems to be ready to actually do something because until now, it's not even that I disliked her, she was just kind of there and didn't have much of a point. I also like the fact that while she's siding with Littlefinger, it seems to me she's adhering to his "do whatever you have to to win, right and wrong don't exist" philosophy, but I doubt she'll be loyal to him. She'll probably use him for her own ends until she's safe. I also predict she might end up allying with Arya at some point, which would be awesome seeing how they both evolved, the political mind and the fierce swordfighter.

I also predict she might end up allying with Arya at some point, which would be awesome seeing how they both evolved, the political mind and the fierce swordfighter. I can't talk, for other fans, but in season 4, Dany got a bit tiresome for me after {Spoiler}{Spoiler}getting the Unsullied . Her whole story has been about getting the resources to take Westeros. She has them, then suddenly changes to become the "Breaker of Chains" which means it'll be a long time before she does anything that affects the main plot, her scenes are basically a separate series. Not to mention her growin black and white view of the world, and how she takes absolute actions at the first chance {Spoiler}{Spoiler}There are slavers, kill them all, even the ones against torture (though she didn't know, she could have tried to, and it looks like this will bite her on the ass) A friend turns out to have been spying on her at the start, forget how things have changed since then and how much he's helped, and exile him. There's a problem with a dragon, chain the others away. I just don't like characters that are extremists like that. I'd also argue that Arya isn't exactly handling things well. She's gone from a happy tomboy to {Spoiler}{Spoiler}someone who will leave a man begging to be killed to die a slow agonising death from his wounds after giving him a cold stare for a few minutes which is a bit more psycho serial killer than the average 12 year old.

I always think I want the Stark's to come out of this whole thing victorious but I find Bran boring, Sansa annoying and Arya just okay (but I don't particularly like her), plus Rickon is pretty much unknown thus far. That leaves me with Jon and well... I love the character but his lineage isn't necessarily perfect shall we say. So I don't know who I expect to be victorious from the Stark's when the only characters I truly loved from their family are already dead.
Keeping just to main characters I love Davos, Tyrion, Jaime and Littlefinger.
As for a few wildcards Oberyn, Donal Noye (cannot believe his part was cut from the show), Talisa (a far more interesting character than Jeyne, although I guess that may be just because we got to know her more), Bronn and Arianne (providing she makes it to the show, I'm worried we haven't heard anything about her yet).
Overall though I basically root for anyone not named Frey, Bolton, Sam or Dany. As long as they don't come out on top it's cool with me.

I know I'm in the minority, but I really think Tommen has the temperament required to be a good, fair, just, and wise king. I think if Tywin were still alive he could have mentored him on the political aspects of ruling, and then they could bring Daven Lannister in to show him the ins and outs of military leadership. All he would need is a separate mentor to keep him from obtaining Lord Tywin's more......unsavory..... tendencies in regards to leadership. The realm doesn't need another Lannister who will keep going to the Cleganes to help solve problems.
Alas, that's not to be, and now Tommen is stuck with his mother who got all of her life advice from someone who was dubbed "The Frog."
