If this is true, which... who knows... but if it is, it's kinda smart. He can tease the swing in big matches, then not do it, getting heat. Then when the face turn comes BOOM. Swing away!

I've noticed that his whole moveset has been scaled back, not just the swing. The whole thing is just odd, really.

I don't understand WWE's logic. Why kill something that gets over? What in the hell are they thinking?

Just wait until Cesaro swings with HHH and Stephanie, he'll get over huge.

Fans start to react positively to a heel. What do you do?
a) consider turning them face b) tell them to stop doing things that people will pay money to come and see.

Yeah, that was my thought when they first started scaling back, that he'd eventually turn on Paul and use the swing for the first time in ages on him to a big pop but here we are, 4 career killing months later...

That's a nice and obvious news piece from weeks ago.
For the past few weeks and months as they've taken misstep after misstep with Cesaro, I've just been assuming that we're on the verge of them really getting behind him and he takes his rightful place at the upper midcard/main event level soon.
Now I'm starting to worry that, actually, they've screwed all this up and will never get around to pushing him to the top, and he'll leave the company years down the line never having gotten to the place he deserves (like so many men before him).

Meanwhile at the Legion of Doo--- err I mean WWE HQ
Dunn- "This Cesaro is on fire, the fans like him and he's got a ready made face move set"
Vince- "I got it we will stick him with Heyman and keep him heel, he's a foreigner people won't cheer him"
Dunn- "Besides he has a weird accent and his nipples aren't as delicious as Randy Orton's thighs" (Dunn then looks at a photo of a pants less Randy in his wallet and sighs longingly)
Vince- "Yes, yes he does, and that swing he does is getting huge pops, tell him to take that away"
Dunn- "Great idea sir, but might I add we have him job a lot, you know to test his loyalty"
Vince- "Damnit I love it great idea Kevin!!!!"
5 months later
Vince- "This Cesaro guy was red hot a few months ago what happened?"
Dunn- "I don't know, but it's Ziggler's fault"

What's funny is there was another report I saw earlier in the week that said Cesaro's face push would start around this time but they are holding off on it for Reigns.
Why can't people in this damn company have a backbone and tell creative/Vince/Dunn to f*** off? Your first priority is to make money for you and McMahon not flush it away.

I'd figured that Cesaro decided to stop doing it himself, since he seems to be the kind of person that would say "I'm supposed to be a heel, I should stop doing things that get me cheers." WWE telling him to stop it doesn't really make sense, considering how they don't seem to care if someone that's supposed to be a heel gets cheered. The biggest problem with it, like Mayonnaise mentioned, is that there is no payoff. The fact that they just had Cesaro and Heyman just stop being together is stupid - they should have had Cesaro turn on Heyman by doing the swing to him (assuming Heyman would have been able to take it).

I have noticed Cesaro not being quite the same in the ring, of course notably the most no big swing.
Kinda retarded to call him the king of swing still then...

I get the idea behind it though. Way too often nowadays, heels are cool and crowd pleasing to the point they are no longer heels. Bo Dallas is suppose to be a heat magnet for boos but plays his character to the bone that he is getting cheered. Swagger and Colter's xenophobia act was suppose to generate heel heat but fans accepted it like it was Hacksaw Jim Duggan leading a pep rally and the We The People chant. Cesaro's swing went from being a heel tactic to crowd pleasing move. Even though I don't like him, the Miz's current character is so uncool that he's not even ironically cool. That is what more heels need to strive for instead of being Kevin Nash in 97. The Swing should be used when he's going to turn face. Plus he don't want to get pigeonholed as the Swing Guy. He got way more to offer than that.

"Wow. So this is what the brass ring looks like? I thought Ryder was lying. Well, I'm glad I finally get to grab it..." "What do you think you're doing? That's it. Job to Kofi. JOB TO KOFI, NOW!"

I still don't understand why after Wrestlemania and the performance he put on and how the crowd loves him they decided to make him a heel. I know it gets said a lot but I saw him as being the next top guy.
