Ever heard of the phrase "a little too late"? Sure the ratings are ticking upward but Spike probably already got their mind made up about TNA's tv fate. Most networks already have announced what shows already got renewed or cancelled. Hell, they are already hyping the Fall lineup. Either Spike is going to make TNA sweat it out before making a deal in the 11th hour or they are just cold-blooded enough to watch them die. I just hope TNA has been working on deals with other cable networks instead of waiting for Spike's decision.

Definitely agree with Bad News here, Spike has already made up their mind about TNA and I don't think that they're going to renew them a) it's not like Spike needs to have a replacement show ready right off the bat, as they can just play COPS and Star Wars movies in the spot while they get another show ready, and b) by not renewing yet they're putting TNA in a bind as far as booking venues for possible TV tapings go. I hope that they get renewed, but it's not looking good.

Nah I think they'll be fine, its one of Spikes highest rated shows when it comes to viewership, and if they're pulling 1.4/1.5 other networks would be interested if they didn't.

Spike doesn't have loyalty to TNA no matter the ratings they bring. Especially when the demographic who are tuning in aren't the desired 18-30 bracket. TNA drews in the tween crowd and for a network targeting an older demographic, that's poison. Networks only care about getting WWE programming since its demographics are broad enough to please advertisers and ratings strong enough to make a mid-range network a player. Only lower tier networks would consider TNA programming a prized show. TNA would had by now publically announced they are in negotiations with other networks to make Spike either commit to them or raise their stock to potential suitors. All's quiet on the Western Front.
But getting back to the current rating, TNA found something that folks are liking and sticking around to watch.

Reruns of COPS beat them on a constant basis, plus SPIKE has been going more and more toward the realty show because they cost dirt cheap to produce. Why do think they have shows like Bar Rescue among others

I just hope TNA has been working on deals with other cable networks instead of waiting for Spike's decision. This is TNA we're talking about. Dixie Carter will be tweaking out on her couch with Jeff Hardy posting on here about how Spike TV will Renew them at next years Destination X when AJ Styles brings the contract with him.

Thursday night Cops maxes out at 900k viewers while TNA gets 1m-1.4m consistently. Cops SATURDAY night does damn good ratings, sometimes beating Impact's THURSDAY night ratings, but but comparing the two nights is bullshit. I despise TNA, but damn man they suck honestly enough for you guys not to have to make shit up.

Wasn't it talked about that TNA was looking at other TV options? Maybe I was wrong but I thought I read that like a month or two ago. I'm sure TNA isn't that worried about if they should book a venue or not. They will as long they want to be in business. The worst case they tape shows they air it for the non US markets. They can Youtube or Stream Impact for US to see. They did it before in between FSN and Spike. Now days it easier to put product out compared to 2005 with the streaming gotten so much better.
They could do this until they get a new network.

TNA depends on Spike's cash for daily operations. It also don't help that Panda has cut back on their amount of money they give TNA. Booking a building and setting up for tv production cost money. Spike's money went towards that. The advantages they had for the Impact Zone was Universal Studios didn't charge them much for rent and TNA could leave all the cameras, ring, etc set up. Downside was they couldn't charge money for people coming to the shows. Since TNA doesn't have a strong revenue stream, they depend on that Spike money. Going online means most of your favorites are going bye bye and production values about to go local indy tv show level.

Spike has little faith in them, they have more trust in Bellator

They went a long stretch where they didn't get a million and more viewers. COPS was beating them in the ratings. That is fact, not made up newz for webhits. Plenty of times TNA wouldn't even land in the top 100 for Thursday. COPS did though. And like I said, TNA isn't getting that coveted 18-35 demographic like they used to. It's either underage or over 40, groups that advertisers don't see as money spenders.

I'm not sure where you're getting your info but you're totally wrong. Impact has only dipped below 1 million viewers twice this year. 993,000 on June 5th and 997,000 on March 20th. Before that it was 921,000 on November 28th of last year. Every other broadcast for the past two years has broke 1 million viewers, with the vast majority being 1.1-1.3 (there were even a few 1.6 millions).

Most of the name guys have left as it is and the chances of Angle resigning or Hardy I believe slim. Now I don't know when Bully Ray deal is up but I don't see him resigning after how he been speaking on Dixie on several interviews. Now how much money is Spike really putting in as it is being that the guys who left couldn't get the same rate they did before no less a raise of any kind.

But the ratings yo-yo around from them pulling in the usual 1.0-1.2 to dropping down to a 0.8. It started to stabilize when they made the title switch from Eric Young to Lashley.

The same amount of viewers doesn't always equal the same rating. TNA had 1.3m viewers on June 19th. And, as I said, it's dropped below 1 million viewers 3 times over the past two years, on the dates I mentioned. And you're missing my key point. I'm not saying that TNA is doing well. It isn't. I'm only saying that the "Cops Reruns Consistently Get More Viewers" argument is bullshit.
