On Smackdown they switched off on Rybaxel and the ref to sneak in a pin. As far as I know that was their first instance of that, I don't really remember their preppy Samoan run and if it happened.
But two or three weeks ago they lost a match to the Wyatts because the ref couldn't tell them apart and let them pin the wrong guy.
think that's a bit of continuity? I mean they could have done it a long time ago, but they didn't until it had already hurt them once

I do not remember them doing that either, but it is kind of idiotic. Logically (I know I get in the danger zone for trying to apply it, but it is not that hard), you would think WWE would require twins to wear different gear in matches (at least inverted color schemes) to tell each other apart if it was causing significant issues.

I'd actually thought they might take the opposite tack after their loss to the Wyatts, wearing different gear so the ref couldn't do it again

They don't even look alike. Jimmy has the left side of his face painted and Jey has the right side.

Yeah and the blatant on screen corruption of the WWE would bring about a Congressional investigation
