I still love that Raiden getting a haircut is used as a major plot point to lead to the climax.
I also love, "SUB ZERO, BUT WE KILLED YOU IN THE FIRST MOVIE!" "NO THAT WAS MY BROTHER!"
Basically, what I'm saying is that I love every second of this piece of shit. It's up as one of the greatest comedies ever made.

When Robin Shou and Talisa Soto are the only original actors to return you know the film is going to be bad. Seriously, what happened with Linden Ashby, Christopher Lambert, and Bridgette Wilson to not be involved in the sequel? Maybe it happened with the change in directors, or they didn't think it was worth coming back for Or they read the script. I like to think that with all of the absolute garbage Christopher Lambert has been in over the years, even he took a look at that script and said "No, even I have to have some standards." {Spoiler}

I always laugh when apparently the swag/cool style that Raiden has in the first movie is absent in this one. He's not even swarmy. He's just serious all the time.
And I always pretend Linden Ashby in Resident Evil Afterlife is Jonny Cage for some reason.

Shitty, shitty sequel.
But there are some interesting things I heard that either stayed in the script or were cut from the film.
- A resurrected Johnny showing up after the final battle, reuniting with our heroes. - Sub-Zero showing up, again after the final battle, saying something along the lines of "I knew you had it in you." Another thing I heard was that he would participate in the finale and sacrifice himself for Earthrealm's benefit in some manner. - After the final fight, Nightwolf would watch the sunset, triumphantly raise his tomahawk and howl. - A cliffhanger for another sequel. Now a prisoner of the Netherrealm, Shinnok would get silent confirmation from Quan Chi that everything was going according to plan. This scene was actually filmed, but got cut during the editing process. Given how shitty the film was, I doubt this scene would've bolstered demand for a sequel.

Considering his body isn't on the Statue/monster thing around the time of the mileena fight, that could be possible.

Yup, I could picture him making a big return and coming to Sonya's aid when Noob Saibot seemed to grow out of Ermac's body. Instead we got Jax helping her after he beat Motaro in what turned out to be a squash match.

Here's a strange one, Michael Fassbender in an early role in a music video in which he (slowly) turns into Mortaro, then visits a strip club. Marvelous times!

In that movie he plays a cowboy sniper who gets killed from the Eiffel Tower of Paris Paris in Vegas. Very strange. I always forget that the director or MK is also Mills Jovovich's husband and the director of those movies lpl
