Now that Russo has killed a third company (WCW, Ring of Glory, TNA), I was thinking about TNA's legacy. This is not a loltna bashing, I'm just curious how people will remember it. Apart from R-Truth they haven't created any major star, the x divison while being a cool concept, hasn't been adapted by anyone else, cruiser weights have been around forever. That being said, in my opinion the biggest contribution TNA has left behind is making Women Wrestling relevant, the booker back then, Dutch Mantell, said that the knockouts pulled bigger ratings than Sting vs Kurt Angle. Mickie James vs Tara is, as far as I know, the only time a women's match was the main event in tv wrestling history.
Before the knockouts division started in 2007, women wrestling was a joke, if you compare the WWE's women division then and now, you can see that they got better, from having that competition. Awesome Kong became a star, Gail Kim too, it's even been rumored that of all the tna gimmicks over the years, the one the wwe stole was the beautiful people.
In your opinion, how did tna change wrestling?

Their biggest contribution is lots and lots of bookmarked threads.
And AJ Styles, obviously.

I don't think TNA did anything real innovative that could be described as ground breaking. What they did do was enhance areas that had been neglected at the time by WWE, i.e. women's wrestling and pushing cruiser weights. I think the most important thing they did was to give wrestling fans a diffrent choice, and most important, giving wrestlers who would not have had the opportunity, a national spotlight to become major stars.

2002-2005 X-Division, AJ Styles and unintentional hilarity.
ALSO: #AskDixie and TNA Online Universe (if you don't know about the last one, it can be nsfw so be careful).

Heavily hyping and then debuting MMA fighters and then not ever having them do anything on your show. They're the innovators in that.

Honestly? Providing a place for Angle and Hardy to wrestle without killing themselves for Ian Rotten on the indies. Yeah, they didn't exactly do close to well by them but it could have been so much worse if they were on the indies.

on a serious note, i enjoyed x-division, ultimate x, AJ Styles, Daniels, Joe, Sabin, Shelley, Roode, Storm all becoming all round workers.

Since it will probably be more remembered for its final days I'd say a whole bunch of crap. But aside from that: the X-Division, giving the title to anyone who ever wrestled in the WWE, one-upping WWE and WCW by being TWENTY YEARS behind the times in some cases, the six-sided ring, the decent run from 2004-2009.
But a lot of crap.

X-Division & Knockouts. Not now, of course, but once upon a time they were both very special pieces that TNA inevitably neglected to appreciate in favor of being WWE-lite and the retirement island of misfit wrestlers.

I'll genuinely never be able to look at the number 1.1 without thinking of TNA.
