Not RVD(I actually think signing him was a good idea)

Thinking about RVD, all the hotshotting of matches was another example of TNA's biggest failures.
Whether it was having Joe face Angle right away. Or RVD vs AJ, I mean people have dreamt about what kind of athletic increddible bout it would be if RVD ever went to TNA when he would face AJ Styles. It was a dream match. Stupid Hogan gave it away on free TV shortly after RVD's first appearances instead of building it up. It's like Hogan and EB had a phobia at generating money. No wonder WCW went under.

The booking of Monty Brown, especially once his character caught fire. Everyone wanted Monty Brown to dethrone Double J. for the NWA Title. Of course Double J and Russo each being who they are, that didn't happen.

Unstoppable Old Man Sting, and washed up ex-WWE/ex-WCW veterans in general. Homegrown TNA talent were seldom allowed to gain clean victories over the vets, even when said vets' best days were long behind them.

Acting like they were going to let fans vote on the number 1 contender then abandoning the plan instanlly was a big one. That gained them nothing and probably cost them some fans.

Sabin as world champ, he got it over other veterans like Daniels and Kazarian because Dixie felt sorry for him for all the injuries, and at the time, Velvets boytoy. not because he is over, but out of sympathy
And hot shotting of titles! my god, RVD title run, where they hand the belt to him, and he drops it via being murdered for he didnt want to job and they needed to renegotiate his per match agreement, only for him to return 3 weeks later!

The 2007-2009 burial of their biggest star AJ Styles 1 Becomes Christian's b**** 2 Becomes Angle's b**** 3 Dresses like a turkey 4 Dresses like a reindeer 5 Marries Karen at the time Angle Don't forget the time they had Borash camp outside his house and interview locals about how he regularly lost amateur wrestling contests to a girl in high school. I don't think I saw that episode but I remember AJ and Karen going on a Honeymoon at Universal Studios not 100% sure but I think they went on the Mummy. Not sure what's funny about turning your no. 1 guy into a comedy act but who knows what goes through the disturbed mind of Russo.

Mick Foley as champion, a guy who at the time who could barely walk and had retired from WWE like 3 times, is now your number 1 star.

I could go with booking decisions, but the last mistake may prove to be the most telling. Even the McMahon's delusional world, they don't intentionally piss off business partners and do the exact opposite of what they want. They may skirt it, or go around but they don't just say, "Yeah, we're gonna go ahead and do that thing you were against, but don't worry, we won't tell you about it and will deny it when asked". They brought Russo back when that was a rather blatant point of contention, and that speaks absolute volumes. that decision is REALLY going to hurt them. if Spike decides not to renew (which is a strong possibility) other TV companies are going to balk at offering them anything. who wants to work with a company that goes out of its way to ignore your requests and lies about it? TNA has no credibility.

Lots of good reasons, and I'll always hold up the name of the company as one of the largest. Going with it in the first place was silly enough, sticking with it after the Panda sale or the Spike deal at the latest compounded the error. Not RVD(I actually think signing him was a good idea) *guitar riff* DEAD VAN DAM *guitar riff* HE'S REALLY F'ING DEAD

Another overlooked mistake was Austin Aries. When he created Option C and defeated Bobby Roode, he had a lot of momentum. He had that Stone Cold/CM Punk, this guys such an A-hole but I love him face heat. Then they had him lose to Jeff Hardy and he faded into the background for no reason.

Aries was the sacrificial victim of TNA giving Jeff Hardy everything to make him happy enough to re-sign with them.

Giving the keys of the TNA empire to Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff Letting Dixie Carter become a fixture onTV Brining in Hogan's friends & family to TNA The very name of the company Sting vs Jeff Harvey at Victory Road 2011 Having Impact compete with RAW on Monday nights when it isn't ready to challenge WWE quite yet The constant jabs at WWE (I swear when TNA does this, they act like a scorned & angry ex)

The move to Monday night. More recently the rehiring of Vince Russo. TNA could have hired anyone shithead that ever walked and they hire the guy the TV channel that carries their show doesn't like. And it may have cost them their television deal.

Another thing I want to point out is horrible branding. Is it TNA or is it Impact Wrestling? Half the shows and merchandise say TNA, the other half say Impact. Hell, when I was trying to buy a ticket on Ticketmaster I had to search under TNA, Impact Wrestling, and TNA Impact, and all three had different tickets for different shows.
