Can't wait to see his dreamcast/tornado kick in a WWE ring. Such a beautiful move Absolutely over the moon. So excited for this, words dont do it justice. This. All that is left is STEEN (and to a lesser extent Mack). Spectacular, just spectacular I doubt he uses it. It's essentially Kofi's finisher.

I won't lie, I had no idea who he is so I Googled him. First row of images. So yeah, he's already great. But, how is he locking in the camel clutch though? You don't wanna know...

It's essentially Kofi's finisher. I do see what you mean but to me due to the beginning pose/the extra turn and twist Devitt does/the fact that he is mostly aiming for the back of the head instead of when Kofi aims for the face sets it apart from Kofi's. It's up to WWE, but I really really hope Devitt is able to keep all his moves

I Googled Fergal Devitt. I like him. He's also attractive.

AJ using Bloody Sunday felt to me like kind of a hint. Like laying the foundation for Devitt if negotiations fell through with WWE. That would just be so cool to have Devitt back in New Japan as like an outlaw, bound and determined to ruin the Bullet Club after they turned on him. But mostly the Young Bucks, because they need to stay home.

With all the money they've bled and the dreaded subscription number reveal coming up, I'm shocked they are still signing people. They probably negotiated before everything started trending downwards and it would be a PR disaster if they started pulling out of their agreements, but I would imagine this is going to be one of their last big signings for a while? At least I would imagine they've told Hunter he can't keep buying many more new, shiny indie toys for now.

I've never seen a single match of his. Can anyone point to some recommendations? Also...Fergal? Google his matches vs PAC (Adrian Neville), Ricochet, Jushin Liger & Kota Ibushi. You can find them on Dailymotion. Worst case look up highlights of the above or his top ten or 25 moves on YouTube. Devitt is absolutely excellent in the ring. He's between Neville and Bryan in terms of in-ring ability imo.

They have a killer roster now. If only they could use them correctly.

These talents are investment for the future, and with the NXT system as is, guys who will be wrestling specifically on the Network. WWE might have some desire to get a few more hardcore indy fans to watch the Network, and at any rate has a desire to get guys who can GO at the level of the Shield, Daniel Bryan, and Cesaro have been in the last year (because that kind of workrate has been getting over). They especially have some investment in creating "homeland heroes" for Europe and Japan in preparation of the international rollout.

Man the "Never-Heard-Of-Him-But-Lol-Fergal" ignorance is strong here. Dude can call himself LaFawnduh for all I care. He can f***ing wrestle... and wrestle well. Combine that with his giny-tickling 24 pack abs and general Irish brogue nature and WWE got their money's worth no matter what they paid him.
Don't forget guys that this isn't a case of WWE gambling on a half-ass wrestler and thinking they might be able to work with him. WWE had an open contract for Devitt to join at his leisure. They literally told him that they would have a contract ready to be signed whenever HE wanted to come, because they knew that he's one of the best wrestlers in the world and they'd be lucky to have him, not the other way around.

Problem is though, those hardcore indy fans don't want to watch them (the loss of CM Punk emphasises this), they want wrasslin', and the European/Japanese fans too, Kurt Angle for example is or was a massive draw in Japan because he is an Olympic Gold Medalist.

Some of y'all are better than me.
For years I thought people were misspelling his name and it was actually Nergal Devitt. Which...would've been awesome for more than one reason.

They should just call him Prince Devitt
It sounds cool and it's what he's best known as.
No point replacing it with some new shit.
