You know, as Raw was coming to a close and the ending segment between Steph and Brie was going much better than I anticpated, I was all ready to make a thread about how this was the first Raw in god knows how long where I didn't outright dislike a single thing on the show. An amazing feat considering how OCD I am about wrestling.
Then, Steph slapped Brie and went into full on "ASSKICKER" mode just like her good ol' hubby HHH would do in that situation and I was annoyed. So, that streak lives.
Just...why? What was even the point? It came off so bipolar after Steph was almost crying at the thought of dealing with #BrieMode. f***'s sake, Steph came off like such a babyface when she slapped Brie out of nowhere and defiantly challenged the woman who was threatening her with legal action. If the idea was that Steph just wanted Brie to drop the charges and was fooling her, they should have waited until next week to do this. No contracts have been signed, what's stopping Brie from still filing charges?
Don't get me wrong, I loved this Raw but this was pretty frustrating to me. It was so ass backwards. It felt like it was there so a McMahon wouldn't look weak on TV for too long.

Getting her over as a heel. Doing things the HHH way. I guess he's of the mind what works for me works for her. Only thing I can come up with on that.

It was the "lull the face into false security" bit. I saw it the first time Steph appeared on screen tonight. It's obvouisly done just to swerve the audience and make a "moment" happen. Steph was awesome in doing it so it was good enough for me.

Stephanie orchestrated a plan to lure the too up-front and confrontational Brie into agreeing to drop charges via thinking Stephanie was truly afraid of her.
It really did come off like mother vs child though, confrontational youth played like a harp, then knocked down a few pegs by the mother for being so naive.
Just another trap for a lesser developed babyface character to fall into.

She didn't really want the match with Brie, but when she an opportunity for a cheap shot she took it. Then they started brawling and adrenaline took over.

Maybe we'll see a sledgehammer come out during the match.

I get this but I still feel like she shouldn't have stayed in the ring and brawled with her. She should have bailed from the ring as soon as she saw Brie hop back on her feet. This was just too much, IMO. It was too much of a shift in tone for me. Save the actual pull-apart brawl for next week.

Brie ran in the ring and jumped on her as she was turning around. I do think they should have waited though, there's a few weeks left until Summerslam, something like that should have been done as close to then as possible.

I just loved that as Soon as Steph slapped Brie the crowd was full on Stephs side...even going as far to YES with her.
Steph is gonna evicerate Brie and more and more people are gonna side with Steph simply because she is so damn entertaining.

She didn't just get children out of the consummation... she got the famed Helmsley powers. (It's related to the hair. Her powers work better than Hunter's do because he's gone the super-short haircut in recent years)

I think we look to much into things at times. Like a wise person said "Sometimes a story is just a story." (I probably misquoted the hell out of that. sue me ) Brie ended up giving as much as she got and the segment sounded like the crowd got into it, no matter who they were getting into it over. I think we should be amazed a woman's angle is getting this much of a reaction and be thankful at that.

I for one, am glad that it happened. I'm all for a heel getting their comeuppance, but Scared Stephanie actually made her kind of pathetic and I started to feel sorry for her. I want to root against this woman, so I can feel good when she gets her ass kicked.

I'm glad she did all I kept thinking that whole segment was how much bigger and stronger Steph is than Brie that she should easily pound her.

If the last 15 years have shown anything, it's that HHH acts like his wife, not the other way around.

My issue with it is that, it came off as more of a face like action against the diabolical heel forcing a law suit. In fact, Brie came off heelish a bit with the constant pushing of the lawsuit.
