I see numbers potentiality going down after the initial 6 month commitment is done, but if anything, the numbers probably went up a little.
While this idea was ambitious, there are simply not enough hardcore WWE fans in the US for it to work.
It MAY be profitable once they get it out to international markets. Having specific PPV's in England again could help that.
The WWE is simply nothing more than a regular TV show for most people. As much as some people liked friends, 99% of their audience would not have subscribed to a Friends on-demand Network.

The Kraken. Hip reference, ain't it? They will then rehire his mom's brother to do music for them. Uncle Kraken. I'm sorry.

Very few people, if anyone, will get released. I'd reckon People in the offices will probably be cut (which happened once already early on in the Network's days), most likely. After that talent purge several weeks ago, I doubt they'll cut more wrestlers and on-air folks. That series of cuts really revealed some gaping holes in the undercard.

Honestly, now would be the perfect time to let Mysterio out of his contract. He obviously commands a higher paycheck than majority of the fodder, he's out more than he's active, and Rey himself no longer wants to be there. `

The WWE is simply nothing more than a regular TV show for most people. As much as some people liked friends, 99% of their audience would not have subscribed to a Friends on-demand Network. I trust that they ran the numbers more intelligently to know that this is simply untrue. They knew and said as much that this would be a process. They've continued to say what they aim to achieve in subscribers at the end of the year. First they said they needed a million to break even then it became 1.4 million but they've since cut millions from their budget so it's probably shrunk again. Whatever the number is, they'll have less than half a year to make up the difference in order to crack a million. Whether that's through international subscribers or what, they'll have to do it or, like the TV rights deal, it will be a clear failure.
