He'd just pick it up on VHS at a yard sale.

I don't see how WWE would be "buying" anything right now, when they are in the middle of cost cutting and releasing people so that they have fewer expenses this year after the failure of the WWE Network. Now is not the time for them to be "acquiring" anything that is costing them $500K+.

I'd be okay with Dixie as a performer as long as she's away from the business side. Without spoiling too much, at the NYC tapings, the impression was Dixie has been written off TV permanently. The impression is the TV show has been written off TV. Yuk, yuk, yuk.

Likely. Buying the company as a whole and putting it on the network would be extra costs then TNA still being around and maybe producing their own show on the network. Plus, you have more Sting footage to use.

Bump.
All WWE could do is rehash the Invasion storyline on 2001, although it failed terribly.

It would actually give them free license to re-release some of their older DVD sets with a special bonus disc explaining the massive hole in certain wrestlers' careers.
No-brainer.

Of course. It'd be more programming for the Network, both in airing the actual content and in reviving that show where they make fun of stupid clips. With all the idiot things that've happened in TNA, they have enough for several seasons worth of that.

I would love to see WWE release proper documentaries on guys like Angle, Hardy, Christian and RVD to include TNA footage.

I'd rather TNA die completely than end up under Vince's thumb with a bunch of #TNARuinsEverything jokes.

We're kinda maxed out on the #TNARuinsEverything jokes already, no Vince thumb needed.

If he could get it cheap, I think Vince would buy it just for footage of Sting, Hardy, Angle, and Dudleys. Also early footage of Bobby Roode, who will hopefully join WWE.

They would buy the footage for 500 grand, and then make millions off of The TNA documentary, a best of TNA dvd, etc.

They are already stealing the awful storylines, I don't see why they wouldn't want the tape library.

If they can get it for cheap(ish), sure for content for the Network.
I don't really see 'em doing it for any future dvds though, or any great sense of urgency for em to get the footage at all really.

Even if WWE's cutting costs- just the product for the Network means WWE would be fools not to buy the tape library. One quick cost, and they have far more, current content for the Network.

Picking up TNA contracts and bringing TNA wrestlers into WWE would be a whole different question that can be gone on about for hirings/firings- but just picking up the tape contract and getting TNA Pay-Per-Views and Impact on the WWE Network? There is absolutely no downside to that purchase.

The company itself is virtually worthless, and at best only a handful of the wrestlers contracted to them would be of any real value to WWE. Once TNA closes it's doors, Vince can cherry pick what he wants from them, and the tape library is the only thing he could realistically make any money on.

If TNA can't get people to spend money on their product, WWE owning it won't magically increase its quality make it worth millions of dollars.
