I think he's the most underrated talker in WWE, by a substantial margin. DASHING. CODY RHODES. DASHING. Cody Rhodes.DA- SHING. CO- DY RHOOOOOOOOOOOOOODES. DASHING!!!!!
CODY RHODES!!!!!...still one of my favorite promos of the past 15 years.

I'm not disagreeing with anyone here, but even giving Cody all of these attributes, to me that equals a guy that is a solid journeyman midcarder. Maybe I got too used to the previous era of wrestling where only the biggest stars and best wrestlers were the main eventers? I've mentioned here in the past that Ziggler is the sort of guy in an ideal world that would be maybe an IC level guy...and Ziggler is largely a more exciting wrestler than Cody (even if he needs to slow it down a tad).

I actually love the comparison between him and Brad Armstrong. Cody is a great in the ring and horribly underrated as as singles star, but it seems that without a partner to do the talking or without a gimmick he really just can't get over on his own. If ever there was a case for a guy who could benefit from a manager to do the talking for him, Cody is it. If he weren't a shell of his former self, I would absolutely nominate Flair for the position.

Cody went out there and nailed it. He's had a lot of good promos, actually. But that one just happens to be my favorite because he managed to combine good oration with cornball arrogance.

Dude has a great spot in the WWE. I don't feel bad for him at all. Pretty much. If he gets more, awesome. But out of all the guys hurting for tv time or whatever, he ain't one of em. Looks like he's having fun out there to me.
