I'm surprised they never went for the "It was all a dream" thing, ever. I think they did. It was something minor but it the whole thing ended with Vince waking up in the hospital, talking about the storyline and then how he dreamt he wasted $60 million dollars on something stupid before getting up to run to the bathroom and having his hospital robe closed by Linda for Senate bumper stickers.

When ECW first came back on SyFy, I noticed that Justin Credible won three matches over three weeks via DQ and thought there was a stealth story where Credible was using everyone's old extreme instincts against them to work his way up to challenging for the ECW Championship due to beating all the credible opponents.

In 1992, Sid Justice unintentionally exposed a conspiracy within the WWF orchestrated by President Jack Tunney to keep Hulk Hogan as champion.
This explains why Jack Tunney was eventually displaced as WWF president for corruption

John Cena has a severe bi-polar disorder. It's the only way, other than him being a cyborg, created and manufactured in WWE labs to completely obey without question, that one can explain his insane mood swings and how irrationally inconsistent he is.

The Ultimate Warrior developed his anti-gay opinions because years of being in the close proximty to the unapologetic, unreserved and uncontrolled sexuality of Ravishing Rick Rude made him question his own heterosexuality.

Someone in the office/creative just doesn't like tag teams and every time plans for any team are discussed, that person suggests breaking that particular team up.

Bray Wyatt is a dead man. Not like the Undertaker was. It's the corpse of Husky Harris inhabited by and evil spirit or demon (Satan? Sister Abigail?) His promos suggest an immortal personality, he does a creepy exorcist spider walk, and his wrestling style has a floppy, dead weight quality at times, like he's being hurled into his opponants.

Layla went into groping overdrive because her BFF, and the woman she loved, Michelle McCool left. When she realized that didn't fill the void, she teamed with Fandango, it was while with Fandango she realized that only a hot leggy blonde could make her happy. Summer Rae knowing the pain of being separated from BFFs gravitated towards Layla, and she was so hung up on Fandango because the Total Divas cast were mean to her, and Fandango was nice. It's just all one big friendship, love, and anti-bullying storyline.
When Kane abducted Eve by putting her in the back of an ambulance, he was actually going to take her to a nice romantic dinner. His targeting of Ryder during the Embrace the Hate storyline was because he actually had a crush on Eve, wanted to get close to her, and wanted to destroy the guy that could have been a boyfriend. Also he beat up Ryder, because beating up Ryder is so much fun. As we saw with the kidnapping of Lita, and locking Kelly Kelly in a closet, Kane has really weird ways to show a woman he likes her.
Kane's still made at Orton for nailing Kelly, and beating him on a botched count with a freaking dropkick.
I thought John Cena was going to be revealed as being behind the Nexus' attack on The Undertaker.

Kane was the Mastermind of The Nexus. He wanted to outdo his brother the Undertaker's legacy by making his own Ministry of Darkness. That is why they buried Taker. Due to John Cena and David Otunga holding the tag team titles and the tag champions being exempt from the brand split, Kane saw Cena as a potential threat to his World Heavyweight Championship. Kane had Barrett force Cena and Otunga to sacrifice the tag belts to Slater and Gabriel so Cena couldn't come to SD and challenge him for the WHC.

And it was all to get back at Taker for retiring his best friend. That was the bigger picture. Also, Alex Riley was a Nexus sleeper there to destroy Miz' chances if he tried cashing in on Barrett.

I agree with the Alex Riley was a Nexus sleeper, but his interest in protecting Barrett were simply to keep Cena from being fiyuhd because Cena was planning a coup. Cena secretly led a "Wolfpack Nexus" consisting of Riley, Darren Young and Daniel Bryan.

-The current Damien Sandow impressions angle is a kayfabe "punishment" angle from the WWE. After Sandow refused to fight the people inside at Occupy Raw, forcing Triple H to fight Daniel Bryan (and thus, Bryan winning the WWE World Title at Mania 30- the biggest defeat The Authority has had), The Authority got revenge by forcing Sandow to start impersonating people and losing all the time. They knew they could get away with it because Occupy Raw proved Sandow is a coward, who's too afraid to actually tell people he's only doing this because The Authority is forcing him to (and the one time he came close to, it ended up not getting the real answer out.)
-CM Punk and John Cena were in cahoots at MITB 2011. The reason John Cena took the side of CM Punk and demanded he get to face him at MITB was because after MITB, Cena went to CM Punk and told him that he needed to lose the WWE Title so that he could have his undivided attention to train for The Rock at Wrestlemania 28. CM Punk, wanting a chance to prove he could be THE MAN, agreed to help, and Cena (in kayfabe) willingly threw the MITB 2011 match.
Zack Ryder, however, was filming an episode of Z! True Long Island Story backstage, and inadvertantly got the whole conversation between Punk and Cena on tape. Rather than destroying Ryder, Cena then befriended him, promising him everything Ryder had ever dreamed of would be his, if Ryder just gave Cena that camera. Ryder agreed, and proceeded to get everything he wanted: To be a hero, to win a championship, to be a big star, and to get a Diva for a girlfriend (Eve, however, was always with Cena all along and was merely told to cozy up to Ryder). Once he was paid in full, he was dropped back to where he originally was,
Punk, however, was untrustworthy, and told Paul Heyman the information that Cena was running scared- which is why Heyman sent Brock Lesnar back to WWE.
