I am shocked at no HHH/Batista from Vengeance '05.
Absolute bloodfest, big-time brutality. Most underrated HIAC ever.
And Coachman's best commentary as a heel, to boot!
In spite of my squeamishness to blood, that is one of the few HIAC matches I can watch from start to finish because it's so awesome as to how they both were willing to beat the holy hell out of one another to put an end to the feud. And Batista had to go to work establishing himself as SmackDown!'s #1 face afterwords since both top belts were competed on that night.
As for the list, it's flawed, but that's to be expected. Mankind/Undertaker is the most noteworthy, but it's at best a 1 1/2 star match due to the fact that most of it involved Foley being attended to by medical professionals. I agree Michaels/Undertaker is a contender for the best, and I was disappointed when WWE '13 had it where Michaels had to fight back as opposed to Undertaker beating the crap out of him until Kane arrived.
I'm gonna run through my takes on the other HIAC matches, aside from the tag team "encounter"...
*Kane vs. Mankind: Dumb match, and I commented on how even dumber the ending was where a no-DQ match ended in a disqualification when Austin came from underneath the ring, never minding Undertaker's interference and Mankind's usage of chairs and thumbtacks.
*Armageddon HIAC: Never understood why they haven't tried this idea, or the Championship Scramble, again since it was a good concept. Only time Rikishi could be considered main-event material.
*Cactus Jack vs. Triple H: Great match, and unlike Mankind/Taker, Foley got to do some serious offense and showed that his involvement in HIAC wasn't just taking bumps.
*Triple H vs. Chris Jericho: Average match, and I am biased in feelings when it comes to Triple H/Jericho feuds because one guy wins 99% of the time.
*Triple H vs. Kevin Nash: A very good street fight-style of a match, but the cell itself was merely used to keep them confined, as opposed to it also being used as a weapon. It does get crapped on a lot since Kevin Nash was in it.
*Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels: Good match, but it was a WAY too long (30 minutes is appropriate, 50 minutes is overkill). I was so pissed when they edited the abridged promo in the Hell in a Cell DVD to where Triple H said everything and Shawn Michaels didn't get a single quote, and I knew it was likely because the full promo featured shots of Benoit from WrestleMania XX and Backlash 2004, but still...
*Randy Orton vs. Undertaker: Type of match needed to make Orton look tough, but felt it got out of control. Only time I've ever heard a "You suck!" scream at Undertaker in his Phenom persona, and I think it was because the kid was upset Randy Orton was getting an advantage.
*DX vs. the McMahons & Big Show: Completely stupid and I resent anything DX-related from 2006 & 2009. At least I'm comforted by the idea that Big Show was the one who suggested Vince get a glimpse of his butthole.
*Undertaker vs. Batista: So-so match. Edge getting involved was the highlight.
*Undertaker vs. Edge: One of my personal favorites since it was in Indianapolis and was a fitting conclusion to the feud.
*CM Punk vs. Undertaker: A very rushed match
*Orton vs. John Cena: Pretty good match that helped set up the Iron Man match at Bragging Rights.
*DX vs. the Legacy: Horrible match. I wished somebody would put the Breaking Point match in some DVD collection, but oh wait, DX
LOST THAT MATCH! So it doesn't exist.
*Undertaker vs. Kane: Average match, aided mostly by Paul Bearer turning on 'Taker.
*John Cena vs. Wade Barrett: I always felt that the Cena vs. Nexus feud after SummerSlam was how not to build a faction, but considering it's John Cena, I shouldn't be surprised.
*Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry: Orton was able to get more offense in than the Night of Champions match, but Henry was still presented as a beast and was pretty fun for what it was.
*CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena: Alright match, but was pretty confusing. Awesome Truth's involvement and the entire locker room trying to force open the cell is always a great moment to watch.
*Undertaker vs. Triple H: The "End of an Era" match was the match I cared about most for WrestleMania XXVIII, way more than Cena vs. the Rock.
*Ryback vs. CM Punk: I didn't understand why the World Heavyweight Championship match wasn't in HIAC that night, but because Sheamus & Big Show caught lightning in a bottle, maybe it was for the best. This wasn't a good match and it turned out to be a critical flaw in the pushing of Ryback, which he hasn't fully recovered from.
*CM Punk vs. Rybaxel: Amusing how a year changes things. A little better, but not by much.
*Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan: Average HIAC match, and with Michaels' involvement, Bryan not winning was to be expected.
However, as long as you stay away from Boss Man/Taker (Horrible post-match shenannigans and I don't care what anybody said, they had ZERO chemistry and the crowd was so bored you could hear "Do something!" a couple of times) and Orton/Sheamus, your list is alright.
