I'd say it's more Superman Vs. Doomsday. Cena won the first round by tossing him into a river (that happened) Now Brock has made it to metropolis. I wish there was a mock up of the famous comic cover but with a Cena shirt instead of the tattered Cape. I tried.

As someone who was already calling Punk/Lesnar Vegeta vs Broly, the way Brock practically owned Punk every other RAW, I welcome the comparison.

Why no Goku vs Broly for Cena and Lesnar?? Because everyone knows who Marvel characters are, and Dragonball has a more niche audience. It's like asking why people make Ninja Turtles references instead of Biker Mice From Mars references. Dragonball, a niche audience? That's sarcasm, yes? I remember years ago, where regular kids were arguing about Broly. I've never heard anyone in a public environment speak of Doomsday. Not that Broly is the most A-List Dragonball villain, but can anyone say the same for anyone from a DC rogues gallery that isn't Batman's?

But there really isn't anyone else who's noteworthy. MAYBE Brainiac but even that one is up for debate.

I will not only co-sign, but also point out that the DragonBall Z fan pool is large enough that there are people who don't even know what anime is that love DragonBall Z.

If, after Summerslam, multiple Cenas show up (including a half robot version) and we get weeks of "which one is the REAL Cena"...I swear....I will quit. Absolutely quit. Will Darren Young get to be the Black Homosexual Cena?

Maybe you've never heard of a guy called Lex Luthor. Also, if you've never heard people speak of Doomsday in public, you probably weren't alive in 1992 when Superman was killed by Doomsday and it was in every major newspaper and on every major news program. You also might not have heard of Smallville, which I guarantee you had a bigger audience in America than Dragonball and featured a version of Doomsday as a featured villain. But for the record, I said everyone knew who Marvel characters were, y'know due to them having the hottest film series on the planet. Not DC. Also, a niche audience doesn't mean something isn't popular. My friends and I were into ECW and lots of kids at my school talked about it, but it was still a niche product.

All I'll say for now is that I red "Hulk vs. Wolverine" in the title and thought the OP was talking about Hulk Hogan and got confused.

Yeah, I left out Luthor, which like I mentioned above was a big oversight on my part, so you have me there. But Luthor aside, there's really nobody besides maybe Brainiac that can be fairly argued as being on par in notoriety with most major DBZ villains. Bear in mind, lot of things have changed since 1992. In the late 90s and early 2000s, Cartoon Network ran a bunch of bloc programs that were specifically designed to show Eastern animation. Not coincidental that right around that time, people started talking about Dragonball Z en masse. Again, I'll point out that it was mostly younger people, nearly all of whom are now adults. I'm not going to lie and say Smallville wasn't a successful show and forgive me for my anecdotal evidence, but I've only ever heard a conversation about Smallville outside of internet forums once, and have heard discussions about DBZ many times. Discussions in which Broly would make a few appearances.

The only people I know that talk about DBZ in public also talk about DC and Marvel Characters.
I'd still put Brolly under characters from things like Teen Titans DCAU and even the Superfriends which also got a lot of replay on Cartoon network in the 90's.
Like Solomon Grundy, Sinestro, and Deathstroke/Slade

All I'm saying is that it's nowhere near as popular as MARVEL (again, NOT DC) characters in general thanks to how insanely popular the comics were from the 60's to 90's and the films of today that everyone and their mother goes to see. There's not a doubt in my mind that 9 out of 10 people in the civilized world know at the very least that Wolverine is "the guy with the claws" or that Hulk is "the big green guy" but maybe 2 or 3 of those 10 people will know who Goku is.

Oh, my bad. I thought the conversation had shifted over to DC characters once Doomsday/Superman got brought up. Since you're talking about Marvel, then I've got absolutely nothing to dispute.
