Animal Planet is interested, they have history of airing shows about animal cruelty, a fat guy putting a dumb Bitch through a table is just the thing they are looking for. I stole the joke from a Punk/Johnny Ace confrontation.

What is she going to say? "Yeah, we can't find anybody. We're doomed"

If I was the head of the network I would hand her a contract for her to sign guaranteeing that she won't ever appear on tv again, she won't copy the wwe or any of its properties (ECW), and Vince Russo is not allowed to be hired, he is not even allowed to watch the show period...

.....and Paul Heyman was still telling his guys he was about to sign a new TV deal, then walked out on RAW.
I can already see what's gonna happen. Crowd was smaller and lackluster last night according to reports, I imagine tonight will be similar. They won't get a contract with Spike and will blame the internet and rumors for killing the deal because of the Spike reps that were there yesterday and saw the dead and smaller crowd. "We were so close to a deal, but all the internet rumors killed the interest in our show and kept everyone away......"
Conveniently leaving out the part that there is a Spike representative at every damn taping they have as a part of stands and practices. But nawwwww, they were there to negotiate a deal and all us internet trolls killed their business, it's all our fault.
If someone else was really interested in their content....wouldn't they have already signed them? It's 2 months away. Why aren't they saying "there's a deal in place". No it's "we are still negotiating". Sorry that's a load of horseshit. Just based off experience, Spike is saying that so people don't tune out a dead end show for the next what ...9-10 weeks? If that was a network TV show that's almost half a season in limbo. Of course they aren't gonna go "nope, not renewing them".
For fun lets say they do get a miracle and get picked up. With Smackdown probably moving to Thursday nights, that alone will probably f*** them, but will the show really be something you want to watch? All these part timers that are the focus of the show now will be gone. We just get left with all these long term contract guys. Does a show with main eventers like Bram, Gunner, DJ. Z, Robbie E., and Storm sound interesting, let alone able to compete with WWE's B show?
Sorry for the ramble, but I'm just having a really hard time believing anything that this woman would say. To me she's to the point where whatever she says just think the opposite. The only thing she's learned all this time in the wrestling business is how to be a terrible bullshitter like most wrestling promoters.

Just because QVC is calling you to put them on the network does not mean its a long term deal.

She's right. I'll probably get in hot water for this but maybe bringing it public will force her hand. We here at Freaking Awesome Network did make an offer to Miss Dixie of $3.50 for controlling interest of Impact Wrestling for the purpose of starting a weekly Best Of Spud as well as a monthly podcast podcast on fashion by Spud and EC3. Unfortunately, Miss Carter and her reps have yet to return our calls but we remain hopeful of striking a deal.

Blah blah blah, doomed, blah.
Honestly, I think the biggest thing holding up their re-signing with Spike TV is that for the first time they have competent people negotiating for them. They have a legitimate talent agency representing them in negotiations and working to sell the company to other networks so there's an actual negotiation going on and they aren't just jumping at whatever deal Spike offer them.

Why on Earth would you think that? Not asking facetiously, legitimately curious why you'd think they're the ones with any leverage.

Why on Earth would you think that? Not asking facetiously, legitimately curious why you'd think they're the ones with any leverage. I'm not saying they're going into negotiations with a great hand, I'm saying they're going into negotiations with people who know how to negotiate with networks and have a realistic idea of what the program is worth. TNA is amateur hour when it comes to a lot of aspects of it's business, but for once, they have hired a professional group to negotiate on their behalf which means they're in a better position than they would otherwise be. Listening to people on here you would think they were getting 250,000 viewers and were utterly toxic the way ECW were at the end of their spell at TNN, they aren't. No matter what people on the internet may think of them, they're one of Spike's highest rated shows, they do everything ask of them and they're considerably cheaper than new, original programming that pulls in similar ratings for other channels which may be enough to find them another home should the Spike deal fall through. People keep going 'Oh but it's doing worse than episodes of COPS', but what else do Spike have that does comparable ratings to Impact in the same kind of timeslot? Looking at US TV ratings sites, not a great deal by the look of it, their three biggest shows are COPS, Jail and Impact, two of those are played to death and out of the rest of their lineup, only Bellator comes close to Impact at it's lowest ebb (on a Thursday) when it's on and that's highly variable and likely costs considerably more to produce to boot.

It's absurd to suggest that TNA could be supported on the scale that it currently exists on the foundation of their 'international success'. Please don't let this con woman con ya, TNA disciples.

ECW on TNN was the highest rated show on the network. That didn't stop them from pulling the plug on ECW. Even before Heyman caused major headaches for TNN and TNN pursued WWE programming, ECW was treated like a redheaded step bitch. They were used to hype up the Friday Night Thrill Zone which was headlined by another Rollerjam revival and 18 Wheels of Justice . Like how TNA shills for Bellator while Spike puts more effort hyping episodes of Tattoo Nightmares than anything TNA. At a time when networks already presented their fall lineup adverts and showing vignettes for said shows, TNA and Spike are still "negotiating" and/or other networks are "interested". Doesn't matter if they got a big name company working on securing tv rights, the deal should been done by now or at least the names of interested networks been leaked out to drive up interest and potential fees for TNA. You got to break down the demographics brought in, the money spent by advertisers for said slots, and how much money spent on producing the show when using US tv ratings. A show may bring in over a million viewers but not the ones valued by that network. There's a reason why reality shows are everywhere. They're cheap to produce, attracts value demographics to a network, and appealing to advertisers. Impact cost money and it under-performed from the last contract deal with Spike. Other networks pay attention to things like that. If a show is considered valuable, they'll be the first ones with their names on the waiting list when exclusive contract negotiations ends like Viacom and others were when WWE was on the open market a couple of months ago.
