Don West: I'll put in a good word at the shoppin' network, but... don't hold your breath.

I heard the new network offered them to be shown if fans pay only $9.99. Now I can watch Fortune without paying a fortune!

Spike(then TNN) dumped ECW despite being their #1 show because they had WWF's flagship show signed and ready to move onto their channel. Why would they renew the same product under a different brand? It's like this, if you had a 24oz coke in your fridge but you still had have a case of Walmart cola in there. You'd drink the coke before you'd even look at SAMs choice.

Too bad they burned their chances with Lifetime thanks to tonight's stupid table spot. They'd have slid in nicely between 3am infomercials for 70s compilation albums and 6am weight loss pill infomercials.

The "thank God" is very telling. It's got to be her way of saying that Spike is about to dump their asses.

Just because QVC is calling you to put them on the network does not mean its a long term deal. "BE DIALING, PEOPLE!!!"Bound For Glory will come with a Ken Griffey Jr. rookie card and a pocket knife with an authentic bone handle! Order it ahead of time for a Stomper commemorative plate and some coins printed with Aces and Eights logos.

Order it ahead of time for a Stomper commemorative plate and some coins printed with Aces and Eights logos. It's not just any Ken Griffy Jr rookie card, it's a GEM MINT 10 Ken Griffey Jr rookie card! And as an added bonus we are throwing in 15 random packs of baseball, basketball, and football cards. That's right 15 packs! These packs can include rookie cards of Barry Bonds, Craig Biggio, Randy Johnson, Jeff George, Brett Favre, Larry Johnson, Dikembe Mutombo and more! Act now supplies are limited.

You can't spell "no interest" without "interest."

TLC is interested in TNA
They want to test the Sturdiness of their Crafted Tables by putting Dixie Carter through them

If most Lifetime movies are anything to go by, Dixie being put through a table would fit right in.

I'm sure there are channels that would take them on. But that alone doesn't save them. The money from the Spike deal is the only money they're really bringing in, and they are barely surviving with that. If some other channel gives them less money, maybe even a lot less, will they even be able to survive long? Another network wanting them might not be enough. A worse deal could still spell the end sooner rather than later.

Yeah I doubt the demand for TNA even exists at this point. They still draw a pretty good rating all things considered (1.5M viewers for original content every week), but I think wrestling in the U.S. is a lost cause. TNA had a chance to at least remain in good financial ground, but they pissed that away years ago.
The table spot when Spike doesn't like stuff like that mixed with the DGAF mic work done by their wrestlers on the next set of tapings pretty much paints the clear picture for their future.

I heard that the Ike Turner network is interested in TNA if they have more women going through tables.

I'm not saying they're going into negotiations with a great hand, I'm saying they're going into negotiations with people who know how to negotiate with networks and have a realistic idea of what the program is worth. TNA is amateur hour when it comes to a lot of aspects of it's business, but for once, they have hired a professional group to negotiate on their behalf which means they're in a better position than they would otherwise be. Listening to people on here you would think they were getting 250,000 viewers and were utterly toxic the way ECW were at the end of their spell at TNN, they aren't. No matter what people on the internet may think of them, they're one of Spike's highest rated shows, they do everything ask of them and they're considerably cheaper than new, original programming that pulls in similar ratings for other channels which may be enough to find them another home should the Spike deal fall through. People keep going 'Oh but it's doing worse than episodes of COPS', but what else do Spike have that does comparable ratings to Impact in the same kind of timeslot? Looking at US TV ratings sites, not a great deal by the look of it, their three biggest shows are COPS, Jail and Impact, two of those are played to death and out of the rest of their lineup, only Bellator comes close to Impact at it's lowest ebb (on a Thursday) when it's on and that's highly variable and likely costs considerably more to produce to boot. ECW on TNN was the highest rated show on the network. That didn't stop them from pulling the plug on ECW. Even before Heyman caused major headaches for TNN and TNN pursued WWE programming, ECW was treated like a redheaded step bitch. They were used to hype up the Friday Night Thrill Zone which was headlined by another Rollerjam revival and 18 Wheels of Justice . Like how TNA shills for Bellator while Spike puts more effort hyping episodes of Tattoo Nightmares than anything TNA. At a time when networks already presented their fall lineup adverts and showing vignettes for said shows, TNA and Spike are still "negotiating" and/or other networks are "interested". Doesn't matter if they got a big name company working on securing tv rights, the deal should been done by now or at least the names of interested networks been leaked out to drive up interest and potential fees for TNA. You got to break down the demographics brought in, the money spent by advertisers for said slots, and how much money spent on producing the show when using US tv ratings. A show may bring in over a million viewers but not the ones valued by that network. There's a reason why reality shows are everywhere. They're cheap to produce, attracts value demographics to a network, and appealing to advertisers. Impact cost money and it under-performed from the last contract deal with Spike. Other networks pay attention to things like that. If a show is considered valuable, they'll be the first ones with their names on the waiting list when exclusive contract negotiations ends like Viacom and others were when WWE was on the open market a couple of months ago. So you're saying there's a chance ...
