That's coming from the UK too so my price almost certainly includes more tax.

Back in 2008, I moved back from college to my parents' house, and after stealing internet from neighbors in my apartment complex had to deal with dial up again ... it was terrible. Then, I realized they were paying for AOL, even though you can use the software for free and they were paying the same price for AOL as you could get for basic DSL service, so I talked them into switching.
Some people are just stubborn/don't realize how nice new technology is. My mom still has used a VCR up until like a year ago when it finally broke and hasn't called to get DVR. Other people just plain can't get DSL where they live so they have to use dial up.
