99% is an oft used short hand for "vast majority" it's like the "nine-tenths of the law" quote nobody actually expects anyone to list ten tenets of the legal system and use nine to justify the saying. "80% of statistics on the internet are made up" - Friedrich Nietzsch Forfty percent of people know that.

So we're a week away from the supposed launch, any news? The launch isn't 1st November. The announce of the launch date is.

If they don't announce the launch date on 1st November and if it isn't fairly soon I'll be most disappointed.

Just had thought. Maybe on 1st Nov they'll announce the launch of the Network from Monday.
Why?
HIAC is on Sky Box Office who also offer encore/replay presentations throughout the week. If they announce the launch of the Network now people may just wait until it launches to see HIAC on there rather than pay £14.95 to see it.
So wait until the week of encore presentations is over so people still buy them if they didn't see the event live and then launch Monday when they can give the fanfare on Raw.

I think they may announce the start date to coincide with the UK tour they have starting the following week. Maybe the launch date will be 10'th November, the date of Raw in Liverpool

Yeah if they do it when they're due to come over they can combine their usual media blitz with information about the Network.

Just give us the Network before the Rumble and no one has to get hurt! But yeah, kinda want it now. The idea of having any WWE/F/WCW/ECW ppv anytime I want sounds pretty good. I don't care for any of the Legend House/Total Diva stuff, just give me PPV's

It's getting to the stage where I find the product less enjoyable. It feels like being at a club with a VIP room that only you can't go in. How good the rest of the club is (or otherwise) almost doesn't matter as you can't help but feel like you're missing out and excluded.

I can afford the Network, I want to get it, I would be CONSTANTLY using it if I had it, but WWE just won't give it to us.

I've had my wallet open for months with wads of cash ready to willingly hand over to him yet he wont take a single penny from me!

I shall be expecting an announcement in 3 days time that the 1st of November announcement has been postponed until the 1st of December, and the cycle will continue until the WWE Network project is deemed a failure and shuttered because adoption in the UK was zero, so it clearly wasn't working out.
But seriously, TAKE MY MONEY.
I, like many, am a bit concerned about the "potential partners", but given that we're so close to the promised announcement I'll withhold judgement for the week or so left to wait. Please don't be Sky. Please don't be Sky. Please don't be Sky...

MORE RULE-FRIENDLY EDIT: I won't be getting the UK version. At least not for two more months.

I want the UK version. Without getting into potentially restricted areas of conversation I don't want to have to have a VPN subscription on top of the subscription. I'm also weary of missing out on UK exclusive content for example if they are able to stream the TV shows on there.

im going to remind you all to not mention that your getting the network via means whcih break proboards terms of service ( and a couple of laws.) which if happens further will lead to suspensions & warnings. quoting myself from earlier in the thread, again if you bring it up you are not posting for a week.

I don't see the issue I didn't say how but everyone knows people do it.The rule is as daft as saying you can't say murder as killing people is against the law.
What's the difference between ack VPNs exist and posting videos from copyright ripped content on YouTube? One links to something that DOES break the law yet is allowed freely. Really does seem like it's a rule just for the sake of there being a rule. Fair play if you want to ban people discussing how to do it or what to do but not being allowed to discuss that people do it just seems comical.
The difference between promoting illegal activity and discussing it surely isn't that hard a distinction to make?

The difference between promoting illegal activity and discussing it surely isn't that hard a distinction to make? wwe's lawyers wont quibble over it when they ask pro-boards to act on it, the no embedding rule of wwe owned footage here is a direct result of such a situation happening previously. linking to youtube videos puts the wwe owned content lawyer related problems in youtube's court and prevents this board being the target of wwe's lawyers. now to get the wwe network outside of Canada & the u.s. does break multiple laws as was brought up originally hence the stickied thread at the top of this section which you saying you having the wwe network outside of Canada breaks pro-boards terms of service as well. so far it's been a request not to mention it any further mentions of it will lead to suspensions from the board
