It may not have been in a ring but...HOLY f*** WHY WOULD YOU EVER TRY THIS, SHE WAS THAT CLOSE TO BREAKING HER SPINE! (and all that for a f***ing commercial...) I actually just noticed how much worse this actually is. For one, Hernandez looks like he totally short arms the throw. Like he put almost no effort into this and he'd have to TRY to do that. This girl could not have weighed that much. Now the worst part is look how far from the edge of the pool Hernandez is. He's at least 2 feet from the edge. He couldn't move forward another 14 inches to make sure the poor girl would make it to the water? When Scott did the Razor's Edge he did the best to protect his opponent, I don't think Hernandez even cares about that, from hearing shoot interviews, the guy only cares about himself

Hernandez almost always tended to short-arm people on the Border Toss, he rarely moved from his spot at all unless it was the odd time someone was insane enough to take an elevated version.
One of the things that made it so dangerous, and that made me unable to watch that gif for a while when I first saw it years ago. Due to his own inherent laziness and/or belief in his arm strength, he came terrifyingly close to cracking that woman's spine on the concrete edge of the pool.
Still hate that gif.

I was already starting to think the Border Toss was a preposterously dangerous move, then I saw that gif a few months back. Every time I watch it I cringe. That girl could've been crushed by that, and then immediately drowned because if she got injured on the edge of the pool she might not have been able to resurface.

Since it hasn't been mentioned, that time in Ultimate X the X kept falling down and they eventually just had to cancel the match then redo it on Impact.

There was also that 'Nightstick on a Pole' match during their Asylum days. The nightstick kept falling, so eventually the ref took it, the wrestler had to touch the top of the pole, get down and then the ref would hand over the stick. It's noteworthy for no other fact than the didn't feel the need to edit it out on international broadcasts. The PPV aired, unchanged, on The Wrestling Channel after a 6 month delay from its original broadcast.

They did eventually learn their lesson and Austin Aries, I think, caught it when it fell in one match... though that might have just been quick thinking on his part.

It's a Mystery why this guy didn't get signed... I like how the fan puts down Union Jack after witnessing that horrible spot. I don't know if this counts, but Abyss putting Pope into a casket, closing it and hitting the lid. And Victory Road 2011 Knockouts Tag Team Title match ending: Rosita stands still for an eternity with the belt over her head to hit Winter with it, out comes Velvet who missed her cue, takes the title from Rosita who gets rolled up by Winter, and then gets rolled up by Rosita. The kicker here is that Winter had to stay pinned by Rosita, who is lighter than she is, for a good minute or two until Hebner finally figured it out and made the count. Gosh, even typing it out makes it sound beyond stupid.

Lacey Von Erich's moonsault elbow drop. It could work for The Young Bucks, but not her. Not sure if the commentary after the move is included on this vides (I'm at work and can't turn the sound up), but I remember Taz saying "Sure seems like a lot of work just for an elbow drop." Which just adds to how terrible it is.

I'm pretty sure that Hernandez bit was for one of MVP's music videos? f***ing stupid nevertheless. I never liked him due to how he almost killed people with it multiple times. Gail Kim, Doug Williams, so many. Just godawful.
Anyway, I came in to say Kris Lewie's....everything. I will say though, I love this thread for showing how much terrible stuff TNA's had. That Morgan/Crimson one's got to be my favourite. They look like little kids fighting.

One time this large, burly man leapt off of a turnbuckle with an elderly woman in tow, just to plant her clumsily through at able and nearly snap her in half.

It's probably THAT shallow a reason for doing something that dangerous.

He can toss around smaller wrestlers with little problem but once he fights someone his size or got blown up from wrestling, his strength goes down dramatically. Even if he didn't want to get wet, he should been able to toss her from that distance safely. It's a good thing that ragdoll physics kicked in on that chick otherwise her spine would cracked on the side of the pool.

Surprised this one hasn't been mentioned yet - Joe's monumentally stupid flying dropkick onto concrete steps against Sting at BFG 2008. How Joe didn't smash his pelvis into a dozen pieces I don't know. This is always my first answer when it comes to dumb spots, even before mentioning deathmatch stuff. I mean, it looks kinda cool. But, just... WHY?

Bully gingerly laying on a table that Jeff had to go all the way to the top of the stage to get.

Whereas Cesaro's not exactly huge, dude's ridiculously stong. Hernandez, despite how much they hyped him as being "Super" never really did much to convince you of how strong he was.

The problem is that the Border Toss can be done right It just that Hernandez seem to be a lazy f*** when it comes to the move.

IN TNA, who was the biggest name to take the border toss? I can only imagine anybody worth their salt would have told him no in a heartbeat.

Actually that was Steiner slamming his own head into the steps. Actually it was...... Christian (Cage). And it happened because the Big Bad Booty Daddy is so strong he didn't even have to move his arms to smash some little pipsqueak's head.
