If Spike is indeed trying to take much more control over Tna's operations, what would it do for the company?
The positives would be things running much more smoothly backstage, and less nonsensical angles. The negatives I see are even more focus on ex-wwe and old names since they were the one footing the Hogan and Sting bill. I could see them still going the wwe-lite route.
Of course who knows what Spike would do.

Here's how I look at it. If Spike took over more of the running of the company I feel it could be for the best in some ways.
1. Say what you want about the big names signings, I get the reason as I felt that wanted those names to give non TNA regular a reason to watch for having someone they are familiar with. However TNA miss managing and not marketing the product didn't allow the others get more established as most didn't know what TNA is. The current list is Hardy, Angle, MVP, Bully Ray, and Lashley. Not terrible to work with. How many will stay is the question and maybe they will if Dixie is not on power.
2. Advertising could improve. If this becomes more Spike's company they would investing into the marketing more. More commercials and ext. on other Viacom networks.
3. Better booking is a possibility as they don't like Russo. So his style of booking would be gone. If they are unhappy with the current product that could also change and maybe find someone who knows how what it is needed to go to the levels they want.
4. Improvement in production. if the network is running it they may improve on how the show comes off.
The worst could be they stick with the EX WWE stars and not create new ones. I don't think it can get any worst then how Dixie and team is running it.

Imagine the worst WWE Shilling the Network for 9.99
Now replace it with Tenay and Tazz, and Bellator.

It'll probably become a reality TV wrestling show. Like Bar Rescue or whatever garbage shows they play now.
Something like that with less carny storylines and more like docu-style show with wrestling matches in between might work though.

Well, look at Bellator. Spike and Viacom put, I think he was the head of Strikeforce, in charge of the company, so I'm guessing the same will happen here where they will actually find a wrestling guy to put in charge here, and that's my big hope. Spike and Viacom will be more willing to put money in TNA if they have it under their control then before where they gave it to Dixie and she made dumb decision after dumb decision.
I'm much more confident in Spike and Viacom in control of TNA then I am with the Carter family. There is a fear that it could turn into another WCW with what happened when Turner Broadcasting owned WCW, but again, anything is a step up from the Carters.

I actually think it will get more goofy. Look at mansers... That was a long time ago, Spike is not the same network they once were. They've dropped all that stuff.

If I was Spike and decided to take more control of TNA... I'd look at the history of TNA and find someone who worked behind-the-scenes from a period when the ratings weren't in the crapper, and hire that guy.
So, Cornette.
Then I'd hound him on a daily basis, second-guessing every decision he makes, asking him to explain the rational behind each move, until the ratings go up.
Or he kills me.
Or he quits because Spike is breathing down his neck and he couldn't take the pressure.
Then I'd hire the guy he used as his second-in-command for a fraction of the price.

I'd just be happy that Spike waited until now to take control of TNA. Back in the day, they would have Joe jobbing to a worker dressed like Stripperella.
