Why are they moving it SO fast? Why not give them a chance to at least let the viewers know they're moving? At least give them a couple episodes to let people know. Dump off, so they can get other shows in that slot. Networks do it all time, they'll dump the final episodes of something they're getting rid of to a different night without much warning.

Yes, my "why not give them a chance" is directed at Spike who is not giving TNA a chance to let viewers know they're moving. Did you think I meant why wasn't TNA giving TNA a chance? =P

Did you think I meant why wasn't TNA giving TNA a chance? =P There's about 7 episodes left before their contract runs out. Giving them a couple of weeks is going to mean that there is a month of Wednesday timeslots. Why give them time to hype up the move when (A) you just decided on it the day before and (B) they're probably gone by the end of the contract?

I just think that it's hilarious that, not too long ago, they had the chutzpah to go head-to-head with Vince McMahon and Monday Night Raw... in the weeks during the buildup to Wrestlemania, no less... and now they announce they'll be changing days simply because of a rumor.
I guess when Dixie broke her back, it really DID make her humble.

Also nothing goes on Wednesdays. Worst day for wrestling shows.

It's amusing that TNA released a presser about them finally getting back to the 1.0-1.1 of old the same day Spike moves them to Wednesday nights. Even funny that the official Spike video for said move is only 15 seconds long and hella generic. Spike is doing the tried and true method of justifying killing a show by putting them in a new timeslot suddenly and watching most of the audience not sticking around & the ratings drop.

Considering they lost almost 20 percent of their audience for last nights show (down to 1.13 million) and with the move happening, I think they only got a couple more circles of the drain left before they get sucked down.
They are probably going back under a million next week. IDK I was trying to say they still had a chane last month, I did say though if they had nothing in place by August they were pretty much f'd. Well.....they are pretty much f'd.
Even if they do get picked up somewhere else, probably wont even be worth watching. Was funny to hear the three stooges get shit on last night though.

If TNA holds the last Impact live after the parts of the company is sold to the WWE, the opening and closing of Impact Wrestling should have the WWE's "Then. Now. Forever" signature intro and the "Entertainment" outro on it. Does it sound good?

I believe Law and Order SVU is on Wednesdays, is it not?
Well, that one's a no brainer. We've gotta catch all those pedarasts.

TNA has to be careful where they move to because any program could be deadly competition for TNA ratings.

Goddammit TNA, really!!! You got so fragile a ego that you are afraid that you're gonna get your ass kicked by WWE's B Show That's like saying Lithuania had a fragile ego because they thought the Soviet army was going to crush them in 1940.

It is the speed of the move that sounds the fishiest. It's literally a "oh, next week we're on a different day", TNA has put out a press release about it but there's no build-up ahead of time, no big notices, just a very quick switch.
Which is why, in what otherwise I definitely see the arguments for on both sides (better slot plus no Smackdown / bad news!) this feels like a dump slot while TNA continue to cast around for a new network. It's Spike continuing to go out of their way to be helpful, while at the same time seeing to start getting their post-TNA Thursday schedule worked on.

I doubt it will effect the ratings since all their viewership is likely made up of smarks. Everybody who should know about the move probably already knows. This would only be a problem if Smackdown got the same treatment.

Pfft, clearly someone at TNA told them they needed to get off Thursday nights and they'll draw in better ratings (also because of football), so Spike called their bluff and moved them. All we can do is watch them get the exact same goddamn ratings they always do and, once and for all, help Spike decide not to re-sign.

Whatever, as long as the Cops pre-show still takes place. Wish granted! I just checked Spike's programming schedule for tomorrow night. Impact is scheduled for 9 PM, preceded by a three-hour Cops block.
