Monday's episode of WWE RAW, which went head-to-head with NFL pre-season football and featured the fallout from SummerSlam, drew 4.194 million viewers, down 2.5% from last week's 4.30 million viewers.
For this week's show, the first hour drew 4.281 million viewers, the second hour drew 4.330 million viewers and the final hour drew 3.972 million viewers.
RAW was #3 for the night on cable behind the NFL's Cleveland Browns vs. Washington Redksins game and Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta. That pre-season NFL game drew 6.898 million viewers.

Now how many of the guys who blame the drop on the final hour on cena/brie/roman/whatever will say that ambrose and rollins are ratig killers Joking aside, I think that the numbers are good for an average raw

That 3rd hour continues to kill them. Overall not a horrible rating for them. Going against Johnny Football, even if it's a pre-season game is a big task. Add in Johnny Football flipping the bird, so you had people jumping into the game to see what was going on. Now how many of the guys who blame the drop on the final hour on cena/brie/roman/whatever will say that ambrose and rollins are ratig killers I refuse to blame anyone for the 3rd hour dropping. Because with the exception of a couple of times that 3rd hour always drops, it doesn't matter who's in it.

Ouch. Hope Rollins/Ambrose did well in the quarterly ratings because I really don't want to see them demoted after putting on such a great main event.

3hrs is too much
if this was a 2hr Raw it would have been amazing, besides Miz/Ziggler, Lesnar's belt thing, Ambrose/Rollins promo & Paige/Nattie the first 2hrs blew. 3rd hour however was fantastic

The show should do a 2.9 or 3.0 rating.

Three hours has always been a chore to watch as long as it has been permanently that long. When they started it, great two hour shows weren't exactly getting pumped out, but now they could potentially. As for great three hour shows? Well, WWE can probably count on one hand how many start to finish great 3 hour Raws they've produced.

It's just a single show. Seeing how we go from here will be the interesting part.

Surprised it wasn't higher after all the title changes.

Surprised it wasn't higher after all the title changes. They were going against Johnny Football. His regular season games are going to be even more of a ratings monster, unless he flames out, even then people will tune in to see what he does next.

Gruden already has 1500+ Nielson boxes ready to watch everything Johnny related.

So few posts in this thread...I wonder why Ratings discussion is a damn joke in the mythical IWC. If someone the alleged hive mind doesn't like is the champion or in the main event, the low rating is always always always their fault and its an example of how they're "ratings poison". But let someone from their personal arousal list be part of that low rating and suddenly they start coppin' pleas baby. Would have been a little nicer about it, but yeah there's truth to this.

I agree that it's impossible to make any real declarative statements about ratings that some tend to make every now and again. It's interesting to know how shows perform but it's hard to really accurately dissect. All I really know is that the more I like what's going on the worse it tends to get and that aggravates me.

I was hyped for this show and that opening segment sucked all that energy out of me.

They honestly need to make the show 2 hours again.
They air too many matches so that they become repetitive cause they need two guys to fill the stage every week. I wouldn't mind if we get one promo to start, a decent midcard match, a tag match, a pseudo main-event, diva's match, another midcard match, then the main-event. The way they do it now is they stretch the midcard matches to a point where no one cares anymore, airs 3-4 of them, adds in one good match in the middle, then draw out the promos to fill time with replays.

And please, for the love of whoever controls the universe, NO MORE 3 MAN TAGS! That is just LAZY BOOKING that accomplishes nothing. 2 hours is more than enough. They can air overruns on the network.

I was hyped for this show and that opening segment sucked all that energy out of me. Stephanie McMahon in 2014 will do that to you. If I never saw a McMahon on WWE TV again, it would be too soon. It doesn't help that the Bellas are pretty bad as performers. Yeah, Nikki's the better of the two, but that doesn't really mean much. Oh I agree. For a few minutes, I had to double check the channel number and listing and make sure that I wasn't watching Total Divas. THIS is why I hate Stephanie. That and that stupid shirt.

They honestly need to make the show 2 hours again. The ratings sustain themselves well enough throughout the three hours, plus WWE makes really good extra money producing it. So it's a big win-win for WWE, despite the fact that it's exhausting for us. We should all turn off the TV at 10 sharp and then WWE would drop the third hour...
