Triple H just announced it on Main Event. Thought it was worthy of it's own thread.
Discuss.

So, their best idea for how to sell the PPV that next to Mania should probably be the biggest of the year if they don't want to get absolutely killed when the subscriptions run out is, "Do a rematch of a match we've made abundantly clear was a disappointment where one guy got brutally murdered!"
I mean, I loved the match, but I really don't see the point in a rematch, at least unless it's an I Quit match where Lesnar completely breaks Cena.

Rollins is walking out with the belt, isn't he?

I'm scared. They wouldn't just beat Lesnar now....would they?

Cena wins, Rollins cashes in, right?
I can't imagine they'd have anyone take the belt off Lesnar except Cena at this point. No one is a realistic candidate except him just based on how the current roster is set up.

Good. Hopefully Brock suplexes him seventeen times. Or eighteen, dare I hope!

I hope for 32 german suplexs this time Hey, Lesnar doesn't want to be a one trick pony. This time, sixteen snap suplexes.

Its the only match they have I think. Lesnar will lose the belt, because who else will face him at the next ppv?

Rollins is walking out with the belt, isn't he? God, I hope not. Partially because now that they've given the title to Lesnar they need to roll with it, partially because then the Cell match would be between him and Cena rather than him and Ambrose.

If Cena comes back a month later and *almost* dethrones Lesnar, it negates the statement made with the Summerslam match, makes it seem like a fluke. If Cena comes back a month later and dethrones Lesnar, it negates every good thing they'll do for the next 5 years.

You guys answered your own question. There is question if Lesnar will win or if they'll put the belt back on Cena. Anyone else at this point you know is just fodder for Brock.

Cena will win but will be almost incapacitated in the process - reckon we'll see the ever popular 'bad guy buried under stuff while good guy stands on top of it' scenario in a Last Man Standing - or something along those lines to make Lesnar still look good. Cena still needs to be stretchered off but down trots Seth and bam.
Cena equals Flair's record, Lesnar can disappear again for a while and they can focus on a new champ.

Man, had Lesnar better win. I guess they could have Cena win if they act like Brock won so easily last time that he took his eye off the ball for this one and Cena just somehow stole a win. BUT if Cena wins then they'll have to face AGAIN for Brock's rematch right? And he'll be fully focused this time and rip his head off and get the belt back. THEN Cena will get ANOTHER rematch.....

Back to the status quo again with Cena. Seriously is it too much to ask for the WWE to be creative and actually roll with the prospect of Lesnar being champion?

This is ridiculous. This match should be months down the road, not the next PPV after Summerslam.

This is ridiculous. This match should be months down the road, not the next PPV after Summerslam. Exactly. It's like Vince had a panic attack and decided not to run with Lesnar as champion. The storyline is there with challengers attempting to dethrone Lesnar only for him to completely destroy them in the process. No wonder they can't create new stars they're always relying on Cena!
