Ok so I have been lurking for a while and can I just say how a majority here don't give the divas even half the credit they deserve if they're not indy girls (because ya know they don't have any passion). Brie isn't the best actress, but she isn't nearly as bad as she's made out to be, Nikki is great, as is Alicia, Cameron and Naomi are polar opposites with one having a great character and the other a great wrestler. Summer and Layla are great as well. I love AJ and Paige, but damn it seems like they're the only ones who get any sort of praise.

I agree Randy Orton gets way too much hate.

That's just the way it works, sadly. :/

And they deserve it.
I find it weird that out of all people in all of WWE , Nikki has the 2nd best lifting finisher (backbreaker thingy) just before BROCK F***ING LESNAR'S F5.

In terms of acting, they're all pretty bad.
They do get too much general hate, but it's hard to say the barbs thrown at their acting skills isn't justified, because by and large, they aren't good. AJ is far and away the best, and she's just adequate.

ITT: Liberal use of the word "great".

Oh, I don't know about Brie. I'm one the few people who really likes her but even I have to admit that her acting is truly atrocious.

I don't think people are hating on THEM so much as they are hating on the way the division is booked.
And yeah, I get that girls from Shimmer get more love here, but that's because they aren't booked to look like morons, and are allowed to look like dominant badasses in the ring. When WWE was letting people like Kharma and Beth Phoenix look dominant, people here praised it too.

I wouldn't use the word "great" to describe pretty much all of them, but yes as a collective they definitely get too much hate, or sometimes too much apathy.

AJ is probably one of rhe best mic workers in WWE.

Can we honestly say any of them are BAD? Rosa and Eva (who is in HER first year still) are the only ones I can think of. The rest are either good wrestlers or characters or both.

Some of the criticisms of them are bewildering
Paige can't speak (yes she can)....AJ can't act (the rest of the roster is full of Oscar winners apparently).....AJ should be released (words fail me) they are filler (like 90% of the male roster)....I wouldn't notice if (Diva) was gone (again like most of the male roster) etc...
Yes they could be booked better, like they are on NXT, but that's something that can be applied to the roster as a whole.

Also, don't know what the opinion of Foxy is here, but she is probably the second best wrestler behind Nattie at the moment.

Above all other things with the divas, I have one request:
Can they stop with the in-ring ho-yay? I want to see them WRESTLE, not awkwardly crawl over one another.
Don't know whose call that is, or why it's being done. But the crowds aren't even into it, it's so gratuitous.

Paige perhaps, but Naomi is far too hit and miss for me, my list would be: Natalya, Alicia/Paige, AJ

A problem I have with WWE is that eventually they put every Diva in the ring. Not every woman has to be a wrestler. I'm sure Lana will be wrestling soon enough, and I wouldn't be surprised if they ask Renee (I'm imagining Johnny Ace sleazily walking up to her and asking her "Wanna wrestle?"). Lilian has probably been asked. I think Terri left WWE because they wanted to make her a wrestler but she didn't want to. Rarely, and almost never did you see the likes of Miss Elizabeth, Sunny and Debra get in the ring unless it was a special occurrence. Today, Elizabeth would probably have got a run with the title! I've gone slightly off topic here so I'll reroute haha. Some Divas get far too much hate for their wrestling skill. But again that's WWE putting women in the ring too soon, or putting them in at altogether. Eva Marie? Beautiful girl, clearly athletic, but could be an effective valet. Tamina? I am personally not a fan of her wrestling so keep her in the valet role too. Cameron I think could be an annoying but effective heel personality but does she need to be in the ring to do that? How often does Eva Marie etc get to go and train with her peers at the Performance Centre?? With constantly filming for Total Divas and appearing at TVs and house shows I would say very little. I'm sure they want to learn how to work a match better. Noone wants to be booed or looked at as being bad at their job. For the Divas who do wrestle and act as valets (Layla, Summer Rae, Rosa) is it WWE thinking why do we need to hire more women when we can have one having two roles? It does work sometimes (Lita, Victoria). I just think the Divas would get more praise if they were diversified and not all in the ring for five minutes. Though I do think this year has been positive so far. Multi-Diva tag team matches seem to have gone for now thankfully. More has been done to make their matches and angles more meaningful (AJ vs. Paige, even Summer vs. Layla got male wrestlers involved which rarely happens nowadays. I don't really count Stephanie/Authority vs. Brie as a Divas feud). Fans are still in the mindset of the WWE Divas match being the toilet break, and at times who can blame them! Yet, NXT Divas matches are presented as athletic, competitive bouts. Hopefully the success of AJ and Paige can brush off and keep the momentum going. I have seen house show reports where the Divas match is praised as they get more time to work a match. There must be some higher up with enough influence to keep women's wrestling limited to a few minutes on Raw in the past. I typed that in a tiny box on my tablet. Hopefully it makes sense

Hopefully it makes sense I actually completely agree! Lana is fantastic and doesn't need to be wrestling, Cameron would be much better suited as a heel manager, Rosa was good as Primo/Epico's manager as well. They just need to send Eva to NXT honestly.

I'll tell you why the divas get so much hate.
Ever seen a typical divas match?
Punch, kick, slap, struggle on the mat, execute sloppy finisher.
I want to see dominant women, women that are reminiscent of Rhonda Rousey and not glorified catfights.
Though yes, there are SOME divas that can pull it off in the ring (Paige, Natty and AJ come to mind).
